i dont know how this girl who i've been seeing for over 1 1/2 year will react.i'm about to ask her to be my girlfriend, but if she says no i'm going to break it off. Should i be loving and say how much i love you and need you in my life, how much i love her kids, all that mushy stuff, or should i just ask her to be my girlfriend and if she says no, just brush it off as no big deal? But honestly if she says no, i dont think i could continue being with her, while i'm falling more and more in love with her and the kids. i'm taking a chance, but i know there could possibly be a chance in the future, maybe after some time, but what is best she remember? some people tell me if you say all that mushy stuff, she will feel pressure and smothered, others tell me she will like it, some tell me to be a little like its not a big deal, that way when i leave her i save face, and its most likely she will come back to me in the future, i dont know, anyone had that experience, or can give me advice?

i'm not mean, the reason i would break it off, is becasue after this time if she says no, i doubt she will say yest later if i stay with her, plus all am doing is hurting myself by falling more and more in love with her.

If you've been seeing her that long, I'd think it would be implied that she was your gf unless you are both openly dating other people.

Go ahead and tell her how you feel (not TOO mushy, but be honest) and let her know you'd like the relationship to be exclusive and committed...

If she rejects you then do be kind when you tell her you can't keep seeing her casually with how you feel, so you two will need to part ways, and wish her well.

Hopefully you'll get the response you desire. ☺

Just talk to her. Tell her you don't want to see anyone else and that you hope she feels the same. Tell her you want to make this an official relationship. Say that if she doesn't want to commit, then you are going to leave because you are falling for her more every day. Say if there is no future, then you want to get away now because it will hurt worse if you stay any longer. And if she says no, then tell her goodbye.

If you've been "seeing" her for a year and a half, I'd say she's already your girlfriend. Are you saying the relationship is not exclusive?

I'd say, the next step is engagement, or marriage. So don't stress about the girlfriend thing. Just have fun. Life it too short for the drama.

if i was a guy (wich im not) and i liked a girl (and i dont) then i would call her or when your with her tell her that you really like her alot and then ask her to be your girlfriend.say something like "i really like you." or "do you want to be my girlfriend?"

you shouldnt break it off because maybe if something happens, she might really need your help.(plus you will look like a total jerk if you do decide to do that.)

you just have to come out and ask her, if she says no, then you have to tell her about you wanting to get serious and that if she is willing to commit then you have to move on and find someone else
