Ear piercing definitely hurts worse. Haven't had braces, but I don't even think a shot is as bad as a scraped knee. When you fall off a bike and scrape your knee it hurts pretty bad. A shot is over with in a second. Take a deep breath, relax and you'll be fine.

Shots don't hurt for long but sometimes certain shots will leave your muscle feeling a little sore. I have no doubt that if you can handle your ears being pierced you will be able to handle the shot. If needles make you uncomfortable look the other way when the nurse gets out the shot. Good luck!!!

Depends on the shot. The needle isn't what really hurts. It's the medicine that goes in that burns. Honestly, you have nothing to worry about....seriously. I am the BIGGEST baby and it's not that big of a deal. I promise. Ask for a shot blocker. It's this piece of plastic that has a bunch of small pieces of plastic that stick out. It's hard to explain what it looks like, anyways, they press this on your arm - or where ever they're giving you the shot- then all those pieces of plastic confuse your nerve endings and then you don't feel the needle go in. You'll be fine.

I haven't ever had braces, but piercing your ears and scraping your knee definately hurt way more than getting a simple shot! Take it from someone who has 4 holes in each earlobe, one in the cartelage, one in her eyebrow, and one in her tongue. I also get bloodwork done about every three months to test my thyroid. Shots are nothing to worry about. Just close your eyes. It'll be over before you know it. I wouldn't suggest watching them do it though, just the thought can make you queezy...

Depends where you get it. I got one in my butt cheek once, and that hurt like crazy. But shots in the arm (where you're probably getting it) aren't that bad. If you had your ears pierced with a piercing gun? That will have hurt WAY worse than getting a shot. If you had it done with a needle? It'll be about the same. It's not that bad, just try not to look.

Actually, shots don't hurt for me! But unless the nurse is too fierce. But don't worry! Whenever I get a shot, I just look away. Relax my arm. And think of ice cream. Then after the shots, my parents always buys me ice cream!
But one time, my brother had to get 3 shots on one arm.And the lady was pregnant. While she was giving I think the 2 nd shot, the baby wanted to come out earlier so she stabbed the shot into his arm really painfully. It was funny. He didn't cry or anything, but he swore a lot.She had her baby and I think it was halarious. But this occasion only happens rarely.Hehe...

i hate getting shots but its just because i hate needles.
umm.. shots really dont hurt as bad as braces or scraping your knee because of how quick they are. shots only feel like a sharp pinch for a few seconds and then you dont really feel anything at all except for your arm might feel sore for a little while. they're not that bad and when you get them over with you feel alot better. don't worry :)

Ear piercing pinches and stings, and even burns, a shot just pinches- best advice is talk to the person when she is doing it (not about the shot or that topic) and don't look, keep your mind off it- I don't mind shots, but if I look I can feel the pinch more.

Um... no. Ear piercings take longer to heal, and they very often get infected.
Even the most painful injection (most of them aren't, but some of them really can be) is only uncomfortable for, at the most, a week. Discomfort from ear piercing can last for months.
