do you think eating nothing for breakfast, going to the gym for 2 hours (drinking 2 bottles of water) then drinking a banana smoothy (with 2 spoons of sugar) for snack and eating soup (veggies w/ chicken) for dinner be healthy to eat?

just concern because my friend has done this.

Well research has proven that people who don't eat breakfast have a 300% more likelihood of developing obesity than those who do. This is because when you don't give your body energy to start the body your blood sugar levels will begin to drop and you'll begin to crave sugary snacks which usually end up as empty calories. Meaning they are calories that offer no nutritional value.

So basically your friend has done exactly that which is why she wants the banana smoothy with 2 spoons of sugar which is terrible unhealthy for you. Only eating dinner and a snack means your body metabolism has slowed tremendously and you have a hard time burning your fat.

Well, it is common practice to work out in the morning before you eat breakfast. I wouldn't exactly call it healthy eating, no. Those can soups can have a lot of salt and fat in them. As far as having a banana smoothie for a snack that's no big deal, but I do think that when you work out you should have some sort of breakfast, even if it's a bran muffin or some fruit.

no it isnt. you cant exercise on an empty stomach, and you need 3 full meals a day eating from all the food groups (carbs, fiber, protein and a little fat). go for complex carbs like cereals without sugar and junk and wholemeal bread, because they give long lasting energy with a reasonable amount of calories. your friend is in serious danger if she carries on the way she is. a full grown woman needs 1500 calories a day at the absolute minimum to survive.

It's too few calories. She shouldn't be skipping any meal, especially breakfast. Your friends body is probably going into starvation mode.
