What things can I do with my two year old. I am 37 weeks pregnant and really can't leave the house. I need ideas of thing to do. I just feel really bad just letting her sit around the house. Coloring and Play Dough only last for about ten minuets. It is really to hot to go outside for longer than a few minuets. We sing songs and I try to get her to "dance" but what else can we do. I need help I really don't know what else to do with her. I feel really bad because I had to pull her from the daycare center that she was going to because of money. Please please help!!!!!!

Daddy works nights so we have to be somewhat quiet durring the day. I am just so tired at this point in the pregnancy. I really feel bad that I really can run and play with my daughter the way that I would really LOVE to.

I'm on "house" rest. My blood pressure is a little on the high side.

Well I let my daughter paint with finger paints!!! I go to the kitchen floor and lay out butcher paper all over and just let her get messy. She literally paints everything including herself. I let her paint me and herself. It's really messy though so right after I just let her take a bath and she changes the color of the water and she loves it!! Maybe you can let her paint on "the baby" your belly. I'm sure she would love that and at the same time you can take pictures and have those memories!!

Why don't you either order some craft books or have daddy run by the library and see if he can't find some? Amazon has some good toddler craft books if you just go there and look up toddler crafts. Moon sand is pretty fun too.
I would start calling on friends and family members (especially those with other children) to either take her for the day or come by your home for play dates. Right now your family should really be helping with her. Someone could take her to the park for a couple of hours, then she will be all pooped out when she gets home and the two of you can watch a movie.
You might also start trying to teach her some things if she doesn't already know them. Alphabet, numbers, counting, letter sounds etc. If she is interested in insects after it cools down the two of you go outside and collect some in a jar and look at them. The Audobon society has some great first field guides for insects, trees and other things.

Good luck and congratulations on your new baby!

My son loves to play with my giant swiss ball. He runs through the house pushing it and this is cool because it's as big as he is almost. Also, we play "where's mommy" a toddler version of hide and seek. Might be kinda hard to hide when you're 37 weeks pregnant though! Maybe you could hide a stuffed animal instead and both of you look! Another thing he loves it of course, big boxes. We take a big box, sit inside it (you could sit outside) and color our favorite pictures all over it. And of course, play in it! I know these are pretty much self explanatory, but I hope they help!

Congrats on the new baby!

Buy a big plastic wading pool for $15. You can sit out in it with her (wear a big Tshirt if you don't have a maternity bathing suit). That will keep you both cool and you can play with balls, boats, sticks, or splashing. Just be wary of sunburn and make sure you both stay hydrated.

The sink. Put some bubbles in there, some water toys and pull up a chair to let her stand on, and one for you to relax next too.

Our 2 year old also loves the Wiggles.

art projects, books, movies, and why can't you leave the house? You're 37 weeks pregnant, not dead. Go walk the mall, take her to and indoor playground like My Gym or Gymboree for Open gym time for $5 and let her go nuts, all you have to do is sit. Join a moms group and get her to play with other kids.

I would find a good friend or family member who would be willing to take her to the park or to play with other kids or window shop from time to time. Have her help you cook or make crafts.

My son loved to "make" with craft stuff. I brought him some glue, some glitter, stickers, cut up some cellephone paper etc. Keeps them quiet for ages.
