medical study has proven that women need a higher amount of dietary saturated fats in the diet to keep testosterone production normal. this is one of many reasons why low fat diets are counter productive to fat loss while attempting to preserve as much muscle mass as possible. women should not intake less than 20% of the daily calories from fats with 5% of that being saturated

Yeah your body does require some saturated fats in order to survive and function. Fat provides the most calories per gram meaning that it provides the most energy to your body. It's just that many people eat over their daily limit of saturated fat and that's why it gets such a bad rap. You need fat to sustain your muscles.

umm vegetarians usually don't eat any unsaturated fats.
you need saturated fats to live unless you want to eat
only lettuce all your life.
