no. it has no set of beleifs. atheists share only one belief to be atheist: that there is no god. other than that, beleifs are all varied.

Any belief you hold as your accepted answer is or can be considered a belief. Religion is for those who don't want to finish learning or finding the truth but expect a ghost to do it for them. I got more questions for you so called Christians where did the commandments come from and how many were there? 2 did anybody ever hear of the 12 tenets of Buddha>> long before Moses.

Nope. It's having NO religion or belief in a god. I don't know why Christians insist on saying that atheism IS a religion because it's not.
Just because YOU want to believe in something doesn't make it true. (not directed towards you, just people in general)

Some people will try and be tricky and say that a religion is something that makes any sort of claim about the divine. But by using that slippery definition then everyone has to have a religion because they have to have some opinion on the divine.

Religions have rules.
Atheism has none.
It is not a religion, but rather the lack of it.

NOT ONLY IS IT A RELIGION ... THEY GOT THEIR OWN HOLLOW DAY AS WELL ...
Consider - it is written " a fool has said in his heart, there is no mighty one ..."
So - Atheism has it's own hollowday on April 1 of every year and is celebrated to it's fullest and even christians enjoy this hollow day as well. Most cannot wait till April FOOLS day comes about and is planned out all year long to celebrate the hollow day of the Athiests.
Who can deny this???

People like to try to say that atheism is a "religion" or that it takes "faith" to be an atheist, but that's not true. Think of it like this--someone else comes to you and tells you a story, and claims that the story is true. You don't believe them. How is that a "religion"? How is that "faith"? If I came to you and told you that there were invisible turtles living in your backyard, and you didn't believe me, would your non-belief be a "religion"? Would you say that it takes "faith" for you not to believe my story that there are invisible turtles living in your backyard? Of course not. It's the same thing for atheists. We don't believe other people's stories about magical beings that control the universe. That non-belief is not a religion, and it doesn't take "faith" to not believe something that has no evidence and makes no sense to you.
It's actually very arrogant for someone to suggest that it takes "faith" to not believe in THEIR fairy tale.

I believe that it is. I think that Atheist believe in themselves and only themselves. They choose not to believe in God or Satan because to do this they would have to except the fact that there is a wrong and right. Without this logic in their life than they can live as they choose to. If you ask me I don't think that anyone is truly atheist just stubborn to the fact that they don't want to grow up and realize that there is a cause for all of their action and with every action there is a reaction in the end.

I've seen a lot of people try to argue that atheism is a religion because atheists believe in science. But just because you believe in something a lot doesn't make it a religion.

Atheism is a belief system, and like many other false belief systems, they worship and glorify the works of their own hands.

No, atheism is more of a belief that no god exists.
Religions have bigger belief structures, rituals, communities and rules, rules, rules.
