Yes, but not in a very healthy way. The best way to lose weight is to eat all of the foods that you love, just in moderation (a little of this, a little of that). If you need help knowing what to improve in your diet, keep a daily log of what and how much you eat, and exercise. Log on to http://www.mypyramidtracker.gov/ and submit your day's results. This site will tell you if you are getting the right amount of every nutrient. eating too much or too little of something? the next day try to focus on changing that!

It depends on what kind of rice. In general, if you ate only rice you would lose weight since your are not getting a lot of fats.....unfortunately you also are not getting a lot of nutrients.

Your best bet is to switch from white to brown rice. Brown rice takes longer to cook but its whole grain (meaning it will not break down into simple sugars that make you gain weight) I made this change a while ago and the results were amazing.

It especially helps when trying to gain muscle definition (sugars get in between muscle fibers meaning less definition) Cutting out sugars and exercising got me a nice 6pack so it does work!

Nope, Rice contains a lot of carbs. Although it's good to eat rice, you need a lot of your other food groups as well. A well balanced diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight.

there is a huge difference between losing "weight" on the scale and decreasing the body fat %. a diet of rice is a diet of pure carbohydrates, you will not lose a pound of body fat on a diet of rice only.

probably but only eating rice is really bad for you coz it has barely any nutrients. eat an apple

You will but the weight will come right back as soon as you stop and try to go back to normal food.

omg my friend did that!! she did it for one month..just rice. i thought she was insane, but she lost weight! it was amazing. try it, it works. i saw the proof..
and rice is healthy too.
