Is lemon good for acidity?

What do you mean?

If you are looking for some mild acid source, lemon may do the job.

If you are concerned about an overacid stomach and wonder if lemons would help cure it, it will not - as it is likely to worsen the situation.

Lemons are quite acidic. Its pH value is 2.

I'll also give all the pHs and examples so you know exactly how acidic lemon juice is!

1 - stomach acid (if you somehow took stomach acid out of your stomach and put your hand in it, you wouldn't have a hand any more. It's that strong)
2 - lemon juice (Don't try this, but if you leave your hand in a bowl of lemon juice for over a day it will start burning.)
3 - vinegar, cola (If you put an egg in a shell in a cup of vinegar, the shell will completely "melt" away. Try it!)
4 - tomatoes
5 - black coffee
6 - human urine
7 - distilled water, human blood (This is a neutral pH)
8 - seawater
9 - baking soda (If you add baking soda to anything, you can reduce its acidity)
10 - milk of magnesia
11- household ammonia
12 - bleach
13 - oven cleaner
14 - ??

I'm not quite sure what your question means. If you meant "Is lemon juice acidic?" or "How acidic is lemon juice?", the answer is that it is fairly acidic as things outside a chemistry laboratory or a factory go. It has a PH of around 2.3. See the link I listed for my source--it's a list of common substances and their ph levels.

If you are talking about curing excess stomach acid the answer is no. If you are talking about cooking or flavoring food the answer is yes. You can even make a tiny battery with electrodes in the very acid lemon.

Lemon juice contains citric acid, in a relatively weak dilution.

If you test lemon juice with litmus paper, it will show up as an acid.
