i was jus wondering how the ages wrk over there wot age can u drink finish school etc?

over here (england) u start high school at 11 and finish at 16 (but i finish at 15 cuz i was one of the youngest in the year) and drink at 18 smoke at 16 drive at 17 ect

In the US, most states allow driving at 16, voting and concensual sex at 18. Drinking must be special, because it is saved for 21. High school usually ends somewhere between 17 and 18.

In the US, you're generally in Elementary school until 5th grade (age 10 or 11), Middle school for 6-8th grades (age till about 13) and start High School at 13 or 14. We graduate at 18. Drive at "16". (in Ohio, at least, it's 15 1/2), smoke at 18, drink at 21, Lottery at 18, gambling at 21.

High school starts with the 9th grade, typically 14 years old. You finish 4 years later.

Driving varies by State, but in most you get a "Learner's Permit" at age 15 which allows you to drive only if a fully licensed driver is in the front seat beside you. You get a license to drive alone at 16. In rural states, Kansas for example, a child who lives on a farm can drive alone at age 14, but only if they are on "farm related business," e.g. to pick up supplies in town.

You can legally drink alcohol at age 21and use tobacco products at 18.
