Did I not tell you earlier that a Jew is such a noble, precious jewel that God and all the angels dance when he farts?---Martin Luther (Germany)

“What then shall we Christians do with this damned, rejected race of Jews?
First, their synagogues should be set on fire, and whatever does not burn up should be covered or spread over with dirt so that no one may ever be able to see a cinder or stone of it. And this ought to be done for the honour of God and of Christianity, in order that God may see that we are true Christians.
Secondly, their homes should be likewise broken down and destroyed.
Thirdly, they should be deprived of their prayerbooks and talmuds in which such idolatry, lies, cursing and blasphemy are taught.
Fourthly, their rabbis must be forbidden under threats of death to teach anymore.” – Martin Luther

“If I find a Jew to baptize, I shall lead him to the Elbe bridge, hang a stone around his neck, and push him into the water, baptizing him with the name of Avraham!.. I cannot convert the Jews. Our lord Christ did not succeed in doing so; but I can close their mouths so that there will be nothing for them to do but to lie upon the ground.” – Martin Luther

“I hope I shall never be so stupid as to be circumcised; I would rather cut off the left breast of my Catherine and of all women.” --- Martin Luther

“If we are to remain unsullied by the blasphemy of the Jews and not wish to take part in it, we must be separated from them and they must be driven out of the country.” – Martin Luther

Jesus did not call them Abraham's children, but a "brood of vipers" [Matt. 3:7]. Oh, that was too insulting for the noble blood and race of Israel, and they declared, "He has a demon' [Matt 11:18]. Our Lord also calls them a "brood of vipers"; furthermore in John 8 [:39,44] he states: "If you were Abraham's children ye would do what Abraham did.... You are of your father the devil. It was intolerable to them to hear that they were not Abraham's but the devil's children, nor can they bear to hear this today.------Martin Luther

Learn from this, dear Christian, what you are doing if you permit the blind Jews to mislead you. Then the saying will truly apply, "When a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into the pit" [cf. Luke 6:39]. You cannot learn anything from them except how to misunderstand the divine commandments...------Martin Luther

St. John Chrysostom: “I know that many people hold a high regard for the Jews and consider their way of life worthy of respect at the present time... This is why I am hurrying to pull up this fatal notion by the roots ... A place where a whore stands on display is a whorehouse. What is more, the synagogue is not only a whorehouse and a theater; it is also a den of thieves and a haunt of wild animals ... not the cave of a wild animal merely, but of an unclean wild animal ... When animals are unfit for work, they are marked for slaughter, and this is the very thing which the Jews have experienced. By making themselves unfit for work, they have become ready for slaughter. This is why Christ said: “as for my enemies, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them and slay them before me’ (Luke 19.27).”

Therefore be on your guard against the Jews, knowing that wherever they have their synagogues, nothing is found but a den of devils in which sheer self-glory, conceit, lies, blasphemy, and defaming of God and men are practiced most maliciously and veheming his eyes on them.---------Martin Luther

Moreover, they are nothing but thieves and robbers who daily eat no morsel and wear no thread of clothing which they have not stolen and pilfered from us by means of their accursed usury. Thus they live from day to day, together with wife and child, by theft and robbery, as arch-thieves and robbers, in the most impenitent security.
--------Martin Luther

However, they have not acquired a perfect mastery of the art of lying; they lie so clumsily and ineptly that anyone who is just a little observant can easily detect it.

But for us Christians they stand as a terrifying example of God's wrath.-----Martin Luther

...but then eject them forever from this country. For, as we have heard, God's anger with them is so intense that gentle mercy will only tend to make them worse and worse, while sharp mercy will reform them but little. Therefore, in any case, away with them!-------Martin Luther

However, we must avoid confirming them in their wanton lying, slandering, cursing, and defaming. Nor dare we make ourselves partners in their devilish ranting and raving by shielding and protecting them, by giving them food, drink, and shelter, or by other neighborly acts..------Martin Luther

If we wish to wash our hands of the Jews' blasphemy and not share in their guilt, we have to part company with them. They must be driven from our country.-----Martin Luther

They [rulers] must act like a good physician who, when gangrene has set in proceeds without mercy to cut, saw, and burn flesh, veins, bone, and marrow. Such a procedure must also be followed in this instance. Burn down their synagogues, forbid all that I enumerated earlier, force them to work, and deal harshly with them, as Moses did...

If this does not help we must drive them out like mad dogs.----Martin Luther

Martin Luther: [ in his last sermon, four days before he died, ] called for practical measures: burn their synagogues, confiscate all books in Hebrew, prohibit Jewish prayers, force them to do manual labour, and drive them out of Germany.

Everyone knows that the Holocaust was orchestrated by the Muslims.

edit: see, on another question, kalebow stated that the Holocaust was orchestrated by the Jews. Typical Muslim sentiment. My answer will probably get deleted. His won't.

Mankind is a blood thirstry race handsdown regardless of religious persuasion or not. One twist on the HOLOCAUST is also that the JEWISH MOB in the United States empowered Hitler and then sacrificed their own European Jewish counterparts for War profiteering and additionally after the war, almost no european Jews where allowed to immigrate to the United States, they are all sent to the Middle East as a stronghold to get help get cheap oil in the region. The only ones allowed here from Post Nazi Germany by our the US Government under Project Paperclip were Nazi SS, Scientist , and others involved in Top Secret Scientific projects to help battle the new emerging Communist threat.
But the bottom line is that if Marin Luther did not get them from almost 500 years before the fact, most likely the US JEWISH MOB did :).What do you call a Non-Jew that is mean to Jews? Answer: Anti-Semitic. What do you call a Jew that is mean to other Jews? Answer: A Jew :))).

If we ever learned anything, it is that God did NOT, nor has He ever rejected the Jews. Our attitude towards them should be one of respect. The Holocaust was considered as a final resolution of a problem that plagued many a European Nation. Since God caused them to be scattered to the four winds, they were scorned and rejected until they found a place of refuge in the United States. I'm afraid that while Martin Luther authored those sentiments, he did not originate them. The fault lies with those, in 500 A.D. that formalized Christianity into a religion. Since then, the term of Christian Soldiers has taken a decidedly militaristic turn, and many a tragedy has been fostered in the name of God.

As a Jew and as a student of history I could never blame Martin Luther for the Holocaust. He became angry at the Jewish community when Jews did not convert to Christianity as he thought Jews would because of the reforms he had made in the his Church over the Roman Catholic Church. After he realized that was not going to happen is writings on Judaism and Jewish people in general became anti-Semitic in character. However, he did not originate alot of the things he said or called for the atrocities that Hitler and his henchmen in the Nazi Party called for. Anti-Semitism was not his creation. Sadly he could not rise above it.

Good Luck!!!

I am rather shocked to read such about Martin Luther, but then he was not one to watch his mouth ever.
As a compatriot of Hitler I can only tell you that he was Roman Catholic and not Lutheran, and it is a fact that he was supported by the Roman Catholic Church. As a thank you he invented the compulsory church tax for all Catholics, which is till today enforced in the German speaking countries. Here we also as an invention of Hitler have to fill registration forms to state where we live, which also hold the information to which church you belong, to make it easier for the Catholic Church to send you a bill. Both inventions are not really pleasing the people here, if you want to know.
Your question would be easily answered without doubt if you could read "Mein Kampf" written by Hitler, but as this book is long illegalized in Europe I guess you have to sign up with the K.K.K. and get an U.S. copy to answer your question. All I know is that Hitler was extremely religious and thought he was the promised one the bible talks about (and obviously the pope thought so too) and his plan was to create the 1000 year kingdom mentioned in the bible, and as Jesus' death can according to the bible be partly blamed on the Jews (I don't know one Jew personally, and no, I don't also blame any living one for Jesus' death the way the nowadays living German speaking people are all falsely labeled Nazi and blamed personally for the Holocaust, even if they were not born then) I guess Hitler got the idea that the Jews are not exactly people who should be a part of that celestial kingdom on earth. And Jews were not the only ones suffering in the Holocaust (my family is friends with some Roma for example (gipsies)), even if the Jews are the only ones accusing till today and asking for reparations (isn't it always about money and power?) while they happily have their own Holocaust going on in Israel (at least our people are sorry for their past and did/do all they can to make amends, but the Jews are okay with the way they till today deal with Non-Jews, thanks to money and U.S.-support), and what Iran or Muslims should have to do with the Holocaust and Luther I don't know at all. Is that part of the lets-go-and-attack-Iran campaign? Going off-topic here now, but use your brain and look at history and the world today - Religion and Politics should never mix up!!! We are all just people who want to live in peace, no matter where we live! Iranians, Austrians and all people who can still remember the repercussions of war in their own country.

To try and tie Martin Luther to the Holocaust is quite a leap and reveals a definite anti-Christian bias on your part. Luther did have an antisemitic phase of life but that is impossible to tie to the Holocaust some 400 years later. The Holocaust was perpetrated by Hitler and his Nazis who were pagan worshipers of the ancient Germanic gods.

Yes, in fact the Nazis quoted your citations verbatim to justify the holocaust. The father of Protestantism was obviously being led by the devil. Here are some of the things he said about the Bible. "If you understand the Gospel rightly, I beseech you not to believe that it can be carried on without tumult, scandal, sedition. ... The word of God is a sword, is war, is ruin, is scandal." Source: Letter of Martin Luther to Georg Spalatin, February 1520 "The Word of God can never be advanced without whirlwind, tumult, and danger ... One must either despair of peace and tranquility or else deny the Word. War is of the Lord who did not come to send peace. Take care not to hope that the cause of Christ can be advanced in the world peacefully and sweetly, since you see the battle has been waged with his own blood and that of the martyrs." Source: Letter of Martin Luther to Georg Spalatin, February 1520 "If we punish thieves with the yoke, highwaymen with the sword, and heretics with fire, why do we not rather assault these monsters of perdition, these cardinals, these popes, and the whole swarm of the Roman Sodom, who corrupt youth and the Church of God? Why do we not rather assault them with arms and wash our hands in their blood?" Source: Martin Luther, On the Pope as an Infallible Teacher, 25 June 1520 "All the strife and the wars of the Old Testament prefigured the preaching of the Gospel which must produce strife, dissension, disputes, disturbance. Such was the condition of Christendom when it was at its best, in the times of the apostles and martyrs. That is a blessed dissension, disturbance, and commotion which is produced by the Word of God; it is the beginning of true faith and of war against false faith; it is the coming again of the days of suffering and persecution and the right condition of Christendom."

LOL! Giovanni, you're hilarious! Didn't you know that the Muslims were next on Hitler's list? He just hadn't made it that far south yet.

Yes, it is interesting how Christians have changed their tune, isn't it? Not that I'm not happy that they have. Were is Rev. Albert Einstein to do his cut and paste on this one?

Doesn't this indicate that religion is so easily manipulated for good or ill? I think that there are few Christians that would subscribe to these views today, but that is because they were not raised to believe in them. They (some of them) save their venom for Muslims these days. I wonder who's next?

Well, it's one thing to say things but another to do them.

It's not like this means (if it's true) that all Lutherans hate Jews and applaud Hitler and the holocaust

But the Holocaust never happened. Just ask anyone in Iran. I get all my history from Iran.
