I agree that Hollywood is corrupt. The problem is that the degree of how corrupt hollywood is is worse than the average Amercians thinks. That town can't make a movie without a 600 million dollar, (literally) budget. When their movies tank yes they do. Our economy greatfly suffers. Think about it. Hollywood makes thousands of pictures per year. Of those movies very few turn a profit. Those investments are lost investments, and lost income to 1% of the population. There are no additional jobs found for Americans. The rich get rich and the middle class pay in higher bank interest rates. See hollywood. I'm one year smarter and whole lot not forgiving.

i think there is a difference between corrupt and bankrupt. hollywood is bankrupt in many ways in how they think of life in general. the best way is to follow the people that really do try to make a difference
you hear about scientology, so far i havent heard of anyone getting killed because they tried going to scientology
so what if they don't look at religion as i do. the muslims don't look at it as i do. bbut the girls who drive drunk. do drugs. and then go on tv and say i have a new tv or movie coming out....well lets not go to it
thats the best way to stop their behavior
if we don't go the film makers will not hire them and will get the message
if we don't watch reruns of the girls behaving badly on tv they wont get new shows
if guys that are hunks drive stupid or beat women they dont get watched either
and we show the industry we want quality we make the stand and it will show people will ask questions and when we answer the world will hear the answers
and then the world will take notice and start doing the same thing
how many times do i want shawn penn yelling at president bush.... i don't like whats going on but don't voice it that way because you have the cameras
voice it in front of congress
we all have that right to be heard
use your face to do good not help the fall of the governing leaders
he or she will always have the congress to be the ones that decide their fate
go before them not on tv
or news blogs in the internet

Don't worry about how morally corrupt Hollywood is. Worry about your own morals. You can't control other people, and you have no right to try. You can influence others, but I believe you can only do that by setting the example. Calling people morally corrupt will solve nothing, and even if you manage to force people to live by your standards, their "soul" will still be "evil". If you want the world to be morally correct then point out the good in others and stop focusing on the negatives.

Okay, I don't want a doctor, etc. working on me when he's high. Whether Lindsay is high doing her job is less likely to be life threatening.
In public life, I expect both of them to be punished equally by the law.
As for other segments of the population, I see even more moral corruption. When you state that you are a moral person and then behave to the contrary, you have done more damage than some teenie bopper who is being a bad girl.

Wow, it looks like you ticked off the liberals with that one. Watch them as they either come out and defend Hollywood or deflect onto the behavior of theists.
I'm glad I am a conservative atheist. I am able to see the problems of both groups.
Not that I care about the behavior of those in Hollywood, I am just tired of people worshiping them and wasting their hard earned money or the worthless crap Hollywood produces that is why I am proud to say that I haven't purchased a CD or DVD in over a decade! I pirate all my music and movies!!!

The music industry. The fashion industry. The media. Politicians. Just about anyone who has any fame at all. They ALL get off lighter because they're famous.
Privaledge means private law - one law for the rich and famous, another law for the average person.
The answer? Change human nature.

Not all people, or even a majority of the people, in Hollywood do that. However, it all appears in the national spotlight because we let it get to us. We give the entertainment shows to give us "juicy" news like that.

I bet you're a fan of the Passion of the Christ. Ol' Mel sure got himself into a righteous mess when he got pulled over for a DUI, made comments about another officers ta-tas and then used anti-semetic slurs. No one is exempt.

So does that mean the Republican leadership like Newt Gingrich is also morally corrupt for getting divorced and sleeping around? Or that the Christian leadership is morally corrupt because of Ted Haggard ?
That's what you are implying.
