That depends on so many things like what your interests are and how long you are going to be in each city. Im Sydney the must dos include:going to the top of Sydney Tower; visiting Taronga Park Zoo (ferry from Circular Quay); taking a ferry to Manly and, perhaps, a rivercat to Parramatta; taking a bus to Bondi Beach; walking round the historic part of the city - Observatory Hill, the Rocks and Dawes and Millers Points; the Opera House, the Botanic Gardens and Mrs Macquarie's Chair. You can add museums - Powerhouse museum, Australian museum, the museum of Sydney, the maritime museum, the Observatory museum, the museum of contmporary art, the Art gallery and others .

If you have a bit longer, take a tour to the Blue Mountains. The Bridge climb is spectacular but it will cost you well over $200.

In Brisbane, go check out and see:
> Lone Pine Koala
> The Botanic Gardens
> City Hall in King George Square
> The Queensland Cultural Center at South Bank contains the Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Museum and Performing Arts Center.

The best place to stay near all these attractions is at: http://www.centralbrunswickhotel.com.au

do what we do (apparently) drink all day and beat up our spouses!! haha jokes. Shop, go on a winery walkabout, i'm from Wangaratta (northeast victoria, 3 hour drive north of melbourne) and we offer the best in winery walkabouts, there are more wineries in my region then any other in Australia (not sure about that, but could be true) probably too cold to go to the beach. Hit the nightclubs, meet new people, we aussies are the nicest in the world (now that is true!!) Go to Luna Park in melbourne, catch a footy match at the G (Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)) but see a hawthorn game!! greatest team in the world (we used to suck!) If having trouble grab yourself an info book for each state you visit, they can usually be found at servo's and the Information centres of each major city. Have fun exploring our great beautiful country.

i went to australia two years ago. i went to sydney, cairns, and alice springs. it was amazing. sydney was my favorite, and since you're going there i'll tell you about that :)
gotta visit the opera house, for sure. it's an amazing place. the hard rock cafe is right down the street from the opera house, so you should go there too. it's pretty sweeeet. for good shopping there's the pitt street mall, which is a street fulll of shops and stuff. it's great for souvenir shopping and stuff. you'll also want to visit the pinpoint tower, you get an amazing view of sydney from the top. and if you get the chance, i'd walk to the top of the harbour bridge. i didn't get to do it, but i've heard it's an amazing experience. hope this helps a little bit :)

See an opera at the Sydney Opera house
There's this amazing day trip from Sydney--We went all over, and we went to this wildlife sanctuary where I got to hold a baby wallaby, pet koalas, and hand feed kangaroos...it was amazing.
just explore sydney, it's really an amazing place--I want to move there!
