Jesus is the word of God that was in the beginning with God all things were created by him and without him was not anything created. Jesus is the Messiah was foretold by the prophets of God that would be born of the house of David to a virgin and would be a savior to his people and atone for sin.

He was the heir to the throne of Judaiah when the Romans occupied Jerusalem and placed a puppet king in place. As such he was viewed by the jewish people as a possible "messiah" or "annointed king" (from the root messeh) which would liberate them from the Romans. He became a rabbi and taught that non-jews should be allowed into the religion, and preached a more liberal form of Judaism to the people, invoking the wrath of the religious establishment who eventually turned him over to the Romans to be put to death.

Good question, I'll try to answer as perfect as I can;
As a Muslim, I believe that Jesus Christ, Peace Be Upon Him, is a prophet of Allah sent to Jews as they were, at that time, away from the way Allah wanted them to take. Actually this is the law that always applied, when human kind are away from what Allah wanted them to do, He sends a prophet to them to guide them back to the right way.
Another law, which is logical, is that when a prophet was sent to some people, this prophet had a miracle or some miracles that support his claim that He was sent by Allah to guide them, these miracles have to be in the same field of excellence of people the prophet is sent to.
For Jesus Christ, he was sent to Jews who were almost perfect in medicine. So, his miracles were related to medicine, he cured difficult conditions of patients, he also was able to draw a shape of a bird and bring to life. These were to prove his prophecy, but people thought he was a God for bringing dead people to life and curing people from difficult diseases but what they forgot or didn't realize is that all these miracles were valid to Jesus only by the will of Allah, the only God that exists.
59. Verily, the likeness of ‘Ãsâ (Jesus) before Allâh is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: "Be!" - and he was.
The above verse is to tell how Jesus (Isa) was created.
55. And (remember) when Allâh said: "O ‘Ãsâ (Jesus)! I will take you and raise you to Myself and clear you [of the forged statement that ‘Ãsâ (Jesus) is Allâh’s son] of those who disbelieve, and I will make those who follow you (Monotheists, who worship none but Allâh) superior to those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allâh, or disbelieve in some of His Messengers, e.g. Muhammad صÙ٠اÙÙ٠عÙÙÙ ÙسÙÙ
, ‘Ãsâ (Jesus), Mûsâ (Moses), etc., or in His Holy Books, e.g. the Taurât (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Qur’ân] till the Day of Resurrection[1]. Then you will return to Me and I will judge between you in the matters in which you used to dispute."
And this one is to tell that Jesus was not crucified, someone similar to him was actually.
116. And (remember) when Allâh will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O ‘Ãsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: ‘Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allâh?’ " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not know what is in Yours; truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden (and unseen).
And this one is a conversation that will take place on Judgment Day between Allah and Jesus. Of course Allah knows that Jesus and The Virgin Mary did not invite people to worship them and not Allah but this is to let them witness on people who worshipped them and refused to worship Allah only as Jesus and other prophets invited them to.
49. And will make him [(‘Ãsâ (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying): "I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, a figure like that of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allâh’s Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allâh’s Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe.
And lastly, this was said by Jesus in order not to be thought of as a God, but unfortunatly that was what happened.
