They've already adjusted to the doghouse being here, they won't go in unless I carry them in they won't sleep in there. I'm afraid they're too used to sleeping on the porch, under an outside (long)chair that we usually sit..... I don't like those oh- you shouldnt be letting them sleep outside junk dont bother answering those things Thank You in advance!

P.S. My father wants 2 know

Right now, the weather is beautiful outside and your dogs probably want to enjoy being out in it. I know my dogs love to lay around outside, especially in the evening. When it gets colder, they might just look for some shelter and get the idea that the dog house is the place for them.

I really like making up names... Have you had some other puppies? Due to the fact that i lost 2 dogs a 12 months ago and now i'm getting a new dog so i mixed their names to make one name. My 2 dog's names were jazz and daisy so im going to name my dog jayzie. How about Ralph and Romeo? Only a advice. I would just go with the proper names that fit the puppies personalities. My neighbors have a German Shepherd named Luke which i feel is also a lovely title. Hope i helped :D

Ok, look, you and your family are not ready to have a dog. You have posted so many questions on here, many of which are either just stupid or disturbing. Seriously, you need to find new homes for these dogs. German Shepherds, like I told you before, are very social dogs. They want to be with their family, you. They want to be inside, the house. They will use the dog house if they need too, but that is not where they want to be. If you do not learn fast that what you are doing is wrong, you are going to have more issues such as barking and howling all night, digging, and also escaping. You really need to do some research on this breed. I have given you many links before. I live in an apartment with 2 male German Shepherds, I have no issues with either one of them. both are house trained, and when i leave the apartment, the little one goes in a crate. I also walk them about 3 miles every day. Now as for why they are sleeping under the long chair, because it has your scent. They want to be with you, and that is as close as they can get to being with you. Stop the crap, either get the dogs inside where they belong, get them trained, or get rid of them. This is just plain stupid.

My dogs prefer to lay outside when the weather is nice. When it's to warm, they may find it even warmer in the dog house. My dogs are indoor dogs, but I've noticed that when the weather warms up they prefer to sleep and lay on the tile rather than their dog bed or carpet. This is the same thing outside. The shaded concrete is cooler to lay on. I would expect them to use it more when the weather gets cooler and they need someplace warm to say. Put an old blanket or something that smells like you in the dog house.

I'm pretty sure you can't teach a dog how to use the toilet. I do know that you can litter box train a dog though.

I would put a small dog bed in the kennel, or start out by putting dog treats in the house to get them use to going in and out of it. There's nothing wrong with dogs sleeping outside as long as the temp and weather is okay. I think it's fine esp. if they are going to be outside dogs anyway. I'm not sure about the whole toilet thing though.

The way that I trained my dogs to use the dog house was to place their dog food bowls in the dog house.
Let them get good and hungry for a day or two. Then when you go to feed them, put the food bowls that are full of food into the dog house. When they go into the dog house praise them. You might also try using treats and put them in the dog house so that the dogs are forced to go into the dog house. Also praise them for going into the dog house.
Hope this works for you.

No, you can't train them to use a toilet, but they can be trained to sleep in their house. Put bedding and toys in there, and lure them in with treats.

It may just be too hot right now.

I think that they probley need some more time. maybe put a blanket that smells like you inside or wait until it pours out, maybe they'll go in then. And tell your father if he figures out how to tolet train a dog, let me know! lol
