without bulking up. I'm 34 years old and my body is already naturally toned but I've gained some weight over the years. I'm still quite slim but I notice a difference. My abs are already hard but I would like a little definition. The rest of my body needs a little help as well. I would like to tone my arms, thighs and calfs. Is this only possible thru lifting weights? I am afraid that I will become too bulky because whenever I lift and I am looking in the mirror, I can see my muscles bulging out. I want to look feminine. How can I work out without becoming too bulky if my natural body is already kinda buffed?

Sounds to me like you need some cardio. If you are as toned as you say you are "underneath" your gained weight, then you need to lose the weight. Once that falls off, you will see what it's been covering.
Perhaps cardio 3-4x per week for at least 45 minutes to an hour will help. If you are semi-interested in lifting to move the process along, use light weights and do a lot of reps. That won't build bulk.
