Yes. Jesus was killed by Roman, but after all it was Romans who organized the Bible into the document as we have it today back at the First Council of Nicaea where such issues were resolved in favor of the Romans (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Council_of_Nicaea to learn more on that meeting). The story of events around Jesus are argued to make Pilate (who was known for being a very brutal man in every account outside the New Testament) to have been forced by the Jewish leadership (which is doubtful because the historic Pilate could careless about their laws as such) as not wanted to kill Jesus but being forced to. The edit-ship of this document meant will with the Roman authorities - Emperor Constantine - at the time.

Good Luck!!!

Its simple- who chaired the Council of Nicea where the 'New" Testament was canonized? Constantine- a Roman Emperor looking for a tool to use to pacify his empire- and seeing in Christianity that tool. Only thing- if it blamed the Romans for the death of their God- no Roman was going to accept it, so the Jews were a handy scapegoat- plus it got rid of that embarrassing question; "If Jesus was the Messiah and King of the Jews, why did the vast majority of Jews reject him?"

So how do we know that the account of Jews killing Jesus is nonsense? Analyzing the Gospel account shows it for what it is. The so called trial given in the NT story is the completely opposite of the Jewish law
1) It takes place at night- all trials were held during the day
2) It takes place in a private home- all trials in Jerusalem were held in the court of the Sanhedrin in the Temple courtyard
3) There were very few people present - there have to be a minimum of 21 judges in a capital case- in Jerusalem the full Sanhedrin of 70 judges heard capital cases.
4) If a court cannot find a person guilty, they are forbidden to hand them over to secular authorities - the "court" in the NT does not find Jesus guilty, and then hands him over.

So four serious violations of the halacha (Jewish law)- which since they were in a capital case means the death sentence for those committing the violations- yet the NT keeps slandering the Pharisees and their strict adherence to the law!

On top of that- you have a big problem, a Roman governor who is later removed for excessive cruelty! (You got to wonder- and this from a people that watched people fighting to death, getting eaten alive etc for fun!) And yet a conquered, powerless group of people is somehow meant to have the ability to get him to obey them?

What does make sense is if this whole ridiculous scenario is inserted in to remove the blame from the Romans when the early Christians were trying to convert them and needed a scapegoat! Who better than the people that had rejected their new God - to removes the blame from the people they are trying to convert while giving an excuse why the vast majority of them have rejected him!

By Roman law Pilate found not fault in Jesus, but to appease the Jewishs pharisees who handed Jesus over to the Romans to be judged Pilate gave them the choice to turn Barabas (a convicted murderer) free or to set Jesus free....the people chose Barabas and the Romans physically crucified Christ but at the Jews request....

Yes. The antisemitic writers of the New Testament wrote the crucifixion the way they did to inspire hate against Jews. I'm sorry, but it doesn't really matter how cool J*sus was, the cruelest and most blood-hungry dictator of Ancient Rome does NOT just decide to "hand over" a decision to the Jews.

The Romans executed him because they thought he was going to incite the Jews to rebel against Rome.

The Jewish leaders (Rabbis, elders) plotted against Jesus.
They had him arrested and brought him to Pontius Pilate who was the Roman Governor.
He gave the people (the Jews) the choice of having either Jesus or a murderer named Barabbas to be freed.
The Jewish leaders persuaded the people to chose the murderer and Pilate was forced to send Jesus to his death.
Pilate then literally washed his hands of the situation because he was forced to do something he didn't want to.
Read below from Matthew 27:

20But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

21"Which of the two do you want me to release to you?" asked the governor.
"Barabbas," they answered.

22"What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?" Pilate asked.
They all answered, "Crucify him!"

23"Why? What crime has he committed?" asked Pilate.
But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him!"

24When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "It is your responsibility!"

25All the people answered, "Let his blood be on us and on our children!"

26Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

I have never met anyone who blamed the Jews for Christ's Crucifixion. I would have to laugh if someone ever said such nonsense to me.

Why don't you just read the New Testament? The Jews had him executed but since the Romans were the law of the land they did the executing.

Yes it was. The Jews did not perform crucifixions, they performed stonings.

No. Humans hate the truth, and so they hated Jesus, as He threatened their love of sin.
