Okay! I know we all cannot be small, but we all can be healthy. If you can hardly breath and cannot walk up a flight of stairs without passing out then you need to work out and think about enjoying life.

I am a big guy. I used to weigh 360lbs and I did power lifting and let me tell you slimming down is not as hard as one thinks. I did not think of eating right as a diet. I thought of it as eating right.

Moniques show wants overweight on the brink of heart attack, stroke and blood clots to love themselves. Well let me tell you this if they loved themselves then they should be working on losing weight.

Now I'm not saying that slim people cannot have heart attacks and stroke etc, but when you are overweight you are more prone to this and the heart has to pump twice as hard.

I would challenge Monique to go to the biggest loser and take the weight off and stop making it seem like being overweight is OK.

That is my opinion! What do you all think?

the human body is not designed to be severely overweight with a high percentage of body fat. the health problems that occur from this are a direct effect of this and is all the "proof" that is needed.

anyone that says they are happy being severely overweight is a liar. if the choice was given no one of sound mind would want to have a body fat percentage of 40%+

I don't think she is promoting unhealthy behavior. but regardless of the size of a person they should always love themselves. And coming from some who weighted 360, i am sure you loved yourself. I think the point of her show is to show that if you are large, it is possible for the world to see you as beautiful. And if you have watched her show they do promote fitness and exercise. No one on her show is so huge they can't go up a flight of stairs.
A person who is overweight by standards, can be very healthy. As long as they get regular check up and blood work say they are fine. Then i say more power to them.

It has been clinically shown that the fat around your organs is more detrimental to your health than fat in other places on your body. While obesity will put strain on your heart, joints, etc., it is still possible to be "plus size" and healthy.
I think that if Mo'Nique is a healthy, large woman, she should love herself.
I think that if the Fat Chance contestants' goal is to love themselves, then it's a good goal. You have to care about yourself first to take care of yourself.
