Did the doctor say "termites" or "tinnitus" did you hear him wrong? it's tinnitus, which is a ringing in the ears sometimes from high blood pressure. Usually if it's bad enough a hearing aid is in order.

Take second opinion, but get it in written. With all that ringing prolly you don't hear properly.
Good luck!
PS- Tinnitus or ringing in ear may be a part of some syndrome and it will be a good idea to have proper check up.

Well, it IS possible that you might have a tremite in your ear (it's not uncommon for bugs to crawl in there), but I'm sure that he must have said "tinnitus". If there were a bug in your ear he would have done something to remove it or sent you to a specialist who could.

Are you sure the doctor didn't tinnitus and not termites? Google tinnitus and call your doctor.
