What are some of the wonderful things about men?

Question

...as a follow-up to Portwine's question.

Okay TS, here's what I think: Men are fun to be with. The men I know have a really good sense of humour, and they're not afraid to be foolish to get a laugh. I love that. They're smart, understanding, kind, generous, and respectful of all people.
Most men are great sexually, very caring and considerate. They smell nice, they're never short on giving compliments, and are always encouraging.
I have to say I have a bit of a bias toward the men I know in that they are always calm, rational, and totally understanding.
Finally, and this is based on my father, I have had excellent male role models who support my decisions, but his greatest characteristic is integrity. Any person with integrity is a person I want to be around. I love men. I think they're wonderful, with so much to offer. I do believe society has stifled men's emotions to some degree. But I'm a feminist for a reason--there are genuine inequities out there, and I do not want my daughter to have to face them.

Kendrick--I gathered you were joking, although given the amount of cloning going on, it makes sense to think that you weren't. I have to add, though, that I'm assuming you think I'm a clone because I'm being "nice" to men. Honestly, if you look at any of my responses or questions, I believe I'm being fair to men (unless, of course, they're being idiots to me or anyone else). Just to clear that up, I have nothing against men, but I do have something against PEOPLE who intentionally hurt others here, or anywhere else.

Nice broad shoulders - perfect for snuggles, most men are really funny, how in real life (not here!!) they are generally very sweet, most men make people around them feel very comforable, the way they are with children (if they like children that is) - nothing sweeter than a man around a young child!

Oh, and men's cologne is absolutely delicious.

And I forgot to add that I find most men incredibly easy to talk to, which is along the same lines of what I said before: for the most part, I find they make me feel very comfortable. And I LOVE it when they nervously ask for a phone number or a date - if they're too confident, it seems fake. Guys: if a girl is into you, some nervousness is good. :)

Plenty of things, which can also be found in women.

As for things that are specific to men...
- If something breaks in my flat, I'd ask a male friend, not because I don't trust women, but because most women do not know how to repair things. I personally cannot, simply because I've never taken an interest in such things, and I think it holds true for most women (and don't tell me you know how to repair things, I'm sure a lot of women do, especially in America where DIY is much bigger than in France). It's about to change, though.
- sex!!!

That's about it, I think... Oh! No, I forgot! If I had to carry something out of my flat and it's very heavy, I would ask for my male friends' help as none of my female friends are that strong. I don't think I could carry over 50-60 kgs for a long time. But if only women were available, I would definitely ask for their help. I'm sure we could do it (I've helped my dad carry very heavy things up 2 flight of stairs several times - it can be done, but I was a bit exhausted!)

My husband is strong, caring, a great father, a devoted husband, (a horrible listener), but really easy to talk to. He cares about his family, and is always there for his friends. I love his weathered hands (they show how hard he works) and I love how safe he makes me feel in his arms. However, that is just my man...

Ok, in all seriousness, men are cool because they are all different, just like women. This means that, if you get one that's not a keeper, you can toss him back. I love that people are so varied.

My dad was the best man ever.

He was intelligent, compassionate, hilarious, open minded, tolerant, articulate, talented, the list goes on and on. These traits are possessed by both men and women, and that's awesome.

Their physical strength. I grew up with soldiers and iron-workers and loved their muscles. How I envy their arm strength. I also love the way their necks smell behind their ears after they've been sweating and working in the sunshine all day. And, I love how they lose their tempers while fishing and sputter and stuff. I adore that about them. And, I love how their eyes light up when they're eating my homebaked bread and pastries.
