You don't need "something to be depressed about." Depression can just occur because of the change in chemicals in your brain.

Ask your parents to get you some help. Tell them how you feel.
You might need to see a doctor to help you get better.

Hi sweetie.
It is pretty normal for you to feel like that at your age. There are so many changes in hormones and development that it can be overwhelming. If you feel like you want to hurt yourself, you need to talk to an adult that will help you and get you the support you need. Otherwise, I would suggest that you find some sort of exercise that you like and exercise as much as you can. It will help stimulate the happy receptors in your brain. You could swim, walk, run, bike, baby sit a kid that wants to play outdoor games, take a dog for a walk, get a tennis racket and balls and play wall ball, go to the park and shoot hoops...just do something to move around. Also, pay attention to the things you are thinking about. If they are negative...refuse to waste your time on it and think of something positive. It is hard to do and takes practice but it helps. Hug to you!!!!!!

Perhaps your depression is caused by your entering into your teens. Perhaps it is a symptom of a Clinical Depression. Then you might find it useful to have a visit to a
Psychiatrist for evaluation. Another source of information may be your family doctor.
Don't let the depression go untreated. As mny as 15% of people with depression commit suicide!. Your parents want to see you grow up and become a parent yourself.

You need a diagnosis for the depression, and would recommend you speak with an expert therapist. The most important thing is to find the root cause of the feeling, and begin a therapy program to treat the condition.

you need to answer the very beginning of why are you so depressed in the first place, some people find events and things that is very little of it to do or lot of it (aka the low and the high points) and then move on, then you need to do something for fun, find something that is in your life that you enjoy doing, start writing in a journal and write about anything in your life, play some kind of sports, do anything and everything to get your mind off of your depression.

Depression is serious.
Talk to your parents and find out what counselor their insurance will cover and get an appointment with the counselor.
They just know how to talk to you and help you figure it out.
It will just get worse if you don't get help.
My daughter got help at 17 and it did her a world of good.

You should see someone who can diagnose you with depression, if that is what you believe is going on, such as a therapist, psychiatrist or psychologist. You may have a chemical embalance, not all depression is caused by life events. So, go see someone.
