A puppy needs distemper/parvo/canine hepatits/adenovirus-2. Depending on where you live and the risk of exposure it may also need a lepto vaccine, however this is NOT recommended for puppies/dogs not at high risk.

Puppies need a series of 3 vaccinations done 4 weeks apart. At 20 weeks or older they will also need a rabies vaccination.

Do NOT give your puppy vaccines for coronavirus or giardia...These are NOT recommended vaccinations by the AAHA/AVMA or all 27 vet schools.

Puppies should receive immunity against some diseases through their mothers milk but this disappears during the first few months of their life. To protect puppies during this critical time, a well-researched approach is taken: A series of vaccines is given every 3 to 4 weeks until the chance of contracting an infectious disease is very low. The typical vaccine is a "combination" that protects against canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus, parainfluenza, and canine parvovirus (the four viruses are commonly abbreviated DHPP). Many veterinarians also recommend incorporating leptospirosis in the vaccination series (this combination is abbreviated DHLPP). Rabies vaccines are given between 16 and 26 weeks of age in most states (governed by law).

You should be getting a distemper/parvo shot, which is the first in a series of three. After this it becomes a yearly shot. And a Rabies vaccine. Hard to say how much it will cost you can shop around call different vet clinic and ask about there prices. Good Luck

There is a series of 5 shots given in 2 week intervals, you can have it done by the vet for $40+ a set or get the shots at the feed store and give them yourself for $10 a set.

5 weeks Parvovirus: for puppies at high risk of exposure to parvo, some veterinarians recommend vaccinating at 5 weeks. Check with your veterinarian.

6 & 9 weeks Combination vaccine* without leptospirosis.
Coronavirus: where coronavirus is a concern.

12 weeks or older Rabies: Given by your local veterinarian (age at vaccination may vary according to local law).

12 & 15 weeks** Combination vaccine
Leptospirosis: include leptosporosis in the combination vaccine where leptospirosis is a concern, or if traveling to an area where it occurs.
Coronavirus: where coronavirus is a concern.
Lyme: where Lyme disease is a concern or if traveling to an area where it occurs.
4 months Rabies: Given by your local veterinarian (time interval between vaccinations may vary according to local law).

Ring your local vets, they can tell you how much they charge - the cost varies from place to place, so not a lot of point taking quotes from people on here!
