There is just as much "disagreement and uncertainty" about physics among physicists as there is about evolution among biologists. The bible has a lot of examples of physics that contradict our scientific understanding in ways similar to the creation/evolution disagreement. Why then do people argue for equal time for "magic man does it" in biology, but not physics?

btw, what would a semester-long course in intelligent design consist of?

Theories supported by scientific evidence should be taught in science classes. Beliefs backed by nothing more than the bible belong in religious studies classes

They should hear about the theories of physics in physics class. If you want to learn the alternative, elect to study so.

They do, in physics class.

Intelligent Design is theology, not science. It should be taught in chruch, not school.

There is no scientific alternative to evolution.
