When you walk into the room..
on the left wall is a huge oval shaped painting
of either angels falling or gods falling
and battling at the same time.
It's a view from the top of their heads and is for shortened.

Any one know what it is??
I really want it as a tattoo on my arm....
and I can't remember who's it by or what it is called...
Help!

Oh, there it is to the left in the virtual tour.

That's funny, where are the crowds? This room was packed last time I was in it.

The only clue is that it also includes "Venetian Renaissance" paintings. The shape and foreshortening suggests it's some ceiling painting.
From the Louvre database of what's in that room ( http://cartelen.louvre.fr/cartelen/visite?srv=sal_frame&idSalle=450 )
I can't see it, so there's no thumbnail, but the following have no thumbnail:
----------------------
----------------------

So your choices are: (Excuse my French)

Resurection of the daughter of Jaire
The seven divinities...
Jupiter Punishes the vices
Here is man
The carrying of the cross
Portrait of a gentleman, hand on sword
The Holy Family with a saint
The mount of Cavalry (Raising of the cross on Calvary?)

My guess is on "Jupiter Punishes the vices" or "Paolo CALIARI, dit VÉRONÈSE - Jupiter punissant les vices"
; none of the others' titles come close to matching the action depicted in the virtual tour.

Ans sure enough, see here -

This looks like it. in english: "Jupiter striking down the vices"

There is nothing next to the Mona Lisa she in alone in a wall...
here's the link to the Louvre virtual tour.

For what I can see in the virtual tour there is no oval canvas in that room, so I'm sorry about that I think you might be confused in some way.
Hope this helped in some way
Take Care :-)
