Police officers never been the most favourite in prisons! Specially, a corrupt one!
I'm sure lot of inmates love to pay that individual a visit, most probably, in shower area!

Arrangements are sometimes made to transfer a police officer to another state for their prison sentence to avoid this chance.

He would be at a much increased risk, unless he aligned himself with a powerful prison gang, and perhaps even then. I have heard of some cases in which convicted police officers have had to serve much of their sentences in protective custody, sometimes in solitary confinement. Of course, even people in protective custody can sometimes be reached, by involving guards or prison workers or by other means. Such an officer would be in serious trouble.

in a british prison he would be placed on rule 43-this is segregation from other convicts for his own safety. i dare say the same applies to american penitentiarys. but the cons will get to him eventually-they probably won't kill him-the screws (wardens) will get in there to stop it because unless the crime involves kids or is sexual no PO (principal officer) wants it on his wing-if it does involve kids he will get served up in a big way and the screws will turn a blind eye-after all they have kids as well. i doubt he will be put in a position where death is imminent-too many questions and too much paperwork.

First cops that are sentenced to prison time are not put in general population. Most of your prisoners have been caught by police that is why they are in prison. Yes a cop put in prison in general population would most likely be killed. The prisoner would look at this as payback for his time he spends in prison.

Police officers, high profile criminals, abused offenders, celebrities, child molesters ect (basically anyone that would be in danger by being placed in general population). Are usually placed in administrative segregation. Meaning they are in a cell by themselves or with someone known to not cause trouble. They will shower separately, eat separately and exercise at different times then people in general population.

it seems this country thrives on Zionist news and propaganda, I know several cops who are in prison now, and the are in the general population with thousands of other prisoners, same as child molesters, Rapist etc, and as far as I can tell they are not treated any different than any other prisoner, however I am told many of them become homo/s in prison, but, I have also heard of some who became tough boys to handle, I think it depends on the individual himself as to how he handles himself, I am speaking of medium and low security level prisons I don't know any thing about the high security level prisoners, how ever the news media want every one to believe prisoners are nothing but animals, but, prisoners are just like every one else on the street the difference is they got caught, the others didn't,

Depending on the cop, his charges, the area hes going in... but unfortunately usually.
I know that several states dont put cops in general population, or they transport them to facilaties where the cop is not known to try and provide an additional security.
