for combs and brushes, i just an old toothbrush(for combs), and a sauce pan, hot water, baking soda and lemon juice. Making the water too hot will melt your combs and brushes if you are going to leave your comb/hairbrush in the pan or pour over your brush. Using shampoo is just waisting your shampoo and shampoo has moisturizers in it. Combs and brushes dont need moisturizers. Using household bleach is going to eat away at your brush and comb eventually. Dont think that you can ever use that comb or brush after getting rid of parasites. Throw that thing away!
Baking soda is a multi household cleanser and deodorizer. Lemon juice is very acidic & also used in cleaners but safe for your brush and your hair. Although, I dont advise using any lemon juice for people that dyed their hair a darker color. The combination of both takes out all the hair products, scalp flakes and natural hair oils from your scalp.

~Or I just get a new one.

I use my shampoo and my brush. I clean both at the same time. I use the brush to clean the comb, and I use the comb to clean the brush.

take your hair brush and comb. over running water, apply some shampoo unto the brush.

with the comb, wash the brush by scrubbing (also removes hairs from the brush) to hold the shampoo in the brush.

next, with the brush, scub the comb repeatedly. then rinse. and then wring to dry.

Use an old toothbrush & pour on a bit of shampoo. Wet the comb & scrub it w/ the toothbrush. Rinse both really well.

A nail brush will also work. I like to use a strong shampoo designed for oily hair.

well i think its not good to clean and reuse the same comb for a long period of time . however if its not that old then i think you should rinse it out with shampoo & using yur fingers. but if its old den i think yu should just buy a new comb. their not that expensive and it can lead to a healthy scalp . and no lice. my suggestion would be to just buy a new comb.

If it is for a regular cleaning, just float it in the sink with hot water and shampoo.
If you want a thorough cleaning, use a nail brush and some dish soap (like Dawn or Palmolive or something.)

hot water and a squirt of shampoo , or even a cleaning liquid or liquid soap -- let comb sit in there for at least 15 mins then rinse.
