OK, obviously not. You aren't put to death for working on a Saturday, and if you rape a girl you go to prison, you don't buy her from her father and marry her.

BUT, Maybe it should be? How's this for a proposal - If you break a law and are convicted, either you are punished, or a completely law-abiding citizen who had nothing to do with the crime is selected at random and executed.

Works for me. What do you think?

I have heard stupid in my day, but damn that takes the cake. It is so refreshing (note sarcastic tone of voice) to see someone reviving the policies of the NAZI SS.

Our nations laws have absolutely no origin in the bible. Our civil and criminal laws have no reflection of biblical law. In fact some of the very same laws we have today in the civil arena originated in Mesopotamia long before monotheism.

Oldest known civil law goes roughly like this: If you own a wild or dangerous animal and it attacks someone you are responsible for the damages.

The Treaty Of Tripoli clearly states, "The United State Government is in no way based on Christian principles".

Our constitution also says that every man is created equal, however the Bible condones slavery and says that women are servants to their husbands...No, the government was not based on Christian principles or the Bible, thank goodness.

A lot of the legal terms come from the Romans. We still use the latin terms, like "habeas corpus".

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Don't judge.
Turn the other cheek.

There would be no enforcing of the law. You could do anything you want.
