Just speak from the heart (if you like her that is). If you like her, start out by saying how much she has changed your life in a good way, and how happy she makes your Dad, etc.

If you don't like her, let me know and I'll think of something else!

If you like your dad's fiancee, this will be much easier for you. Now, are you usually humorous or serious? Write it the way you usually are.

Here's a sample, but don't write this, write something meaningful to you that applies to your situation:

"Back when I was in preschool, my dad was a sad and lonely single father. You wouldn't believe how many pizza boxes and Burger King wrappers there were in his apartment! Then when I was 6, Jane came along. Dad was much happier, and his apartment was no longer filled with pizza boxes and Burger King wrappers. Jane had no parenting experience, but went out of her way to play games with me, help me with my homework, and take me places. I feel truly honored to have Jane as part of my life. And my dad has never been happier. I invite you to raise your glass to toast Jane and my dad! I'm not old enough to drink, so I'm toasting with my water glass."

Something like that, but make sure it applies. If you have siblings, you can mention that "Jane" welcomed them into her life too. Keep it short and sweet: Just a couple minutes or so, and add a bit of humor if you can.

How about recounting the first time you met your future step-mother? You can give a cute anecdote about what you thought of her the very first time you met her. (Even if it was no big deal to you at the time, say so. It'll be cute/funny.) Then tell them both how you feel now, standing in front of them on their wedding day. End by thanking them individually for their love and everything they've done for you so far, express how happy you are for them, and finally, wish them all the love and joy in the world.

Good luck!

Honey, go based on what you feel about their union.

Do you love his girlfriend?
Do you two share a unique bond?
Are you two like girlfriends rather than step-son and step-mother?
Are you happy that she's officially joining your family?
Do you see how happy your dad is when he's around her?
Do you see how happy they make each other?
Do you see how happy they make you?

Think of everything they've done for you.

Trust me, speeches are best when they come straight from the heart... Without a bunch of strangers telling you what to say.

i think you have to speak from your heart
if this woman is coming into your home and is going to love you both
but not take your mothers place, say that she is going to do that say that she is special in that way to you and to your father
especially if she and your mother if she is still alive or in the picture of the family is something that will be a shared responsibility between them and not a pulling relationship
. your a young adult and you want piece and harmony in the family and if this woman is going to bring it to you and your father it is a true blessing
i really hope she is a mother and friend and wife to your father and you

What a wonderful son to do a speach. Just look into your heart and say what you really feel about their union and if you have a special bond with his girlfriend soon to be his wife. Tell her how you feel about her. You will think of something

I'm certain when the moment hits you you'll know exactly what to say. Speak from your heart with honesty and sincerity...the rest will follow. Good luck...you'll do well.

That's awesome! Just make sure you tell him how proud you are of him and how happy you are for him for finding a great person to be with. I'm sure it'll make him a 100X happier when he knows that you're happy with his decision.

Well...do you care for her? It sort of matters if you like her or not.
