I believe this is the sermon on the mount (See Matthew 5,6 & 7 as well)

There are many precepts & principals here. Mainly on what the Kingdom of God is like. Tons of meat in those verses if you know what I mean. My pastor did an entire series on those 3 chapters in Matthew....took him months.

The teachings of Jesus were given in parables for several reasons. They were easy to remember, they simplied doctrine, and they could be interpreted in many ways. To his disciples, he gave a full and complete interpretation of the doctrine. This is milk before meat.

When you study, ponder and pray over these sayings, the deeper concepts may be revealed.
