I like to put them on skewers and grill them. BBQ sauce is great brushed on them before you grill. They only take about 2 minutes per side.

Depends on how you will serve the shrimp. Will you use the shrimp in another recipe? Or do you want just to know how to cook and eat? There are tons of fabulous shrimp dishes!
For example, you can boil the shrimp in beer or water spiked with lemons. Do not overcook. This makes a nice peel-and-eat dish to dip in cocktail sauce.
You can skewer shrimp and baste with a myriad of sauces and grill them.
If you have super large shrimp (prawns), you can batter and deep-fry whole. Yes, you can eat the entire thing shell and eyes and all! If you're squeamish, you can peel and then batter and fry.
You can peel and mash them with minced onion, green beans and carrots and seasonings (garlic, ginger, salt) and then drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil to make shrimp balls. Very yummy.
But, one of my family's absolute favorites is my Oven-Roasted Butter Shrimp. So easy:
Melt lots of real butter and add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, lemon slices (squeeze a few) and your favorite hot sauce (ours is Ring of Fire). Toss in shrimp in the shells, coating completely with butter mixture. Bake in 375 degree oven until pink and done but not overcooked.
How to eat: Suck off the juices from the shrimp, peel off shell, redip in sauce and enjoy. Serve with crusty French bread to dip in sauce again.
This is soooo delicious! Just don't eat it too often as it is artery clogging (and cholesterol raising) for sure.

Everyone can cook shrimps, even level 3 noobs who just completed Tutorial Island! You might use Cooking Guantlets you receive by completing the Family Crest quest. Also, there is less chance you burn them, if you cook them on the range in Lumbridge. Hope that helped!

check out the food network website and type in shrimp under recipes, then look for something that sounds good and is at a cooking level you can do.

The best way I have found is in beer, then add a little garlic, pepper , salt and onion and boil. This is the best I have had, it really helps to let them soak in the beer for a little before boiling.

Lets find a recipe for you to start with...that I happen to enjoy. It depends how you like it. It can be fixed in a myriad of ways, Fried, broiled, grilled, steamed. On its own or accompanied.
Prep: 25 min.
Marinate: 1 hour
Grill: 6 min.
1-1/2 pounds fresh or frozen large shrimp in shells
1/2 cup frozen pineapple juice concentrate, thawed
1 to 2 tablespoons finely chopped jalapeno peppers*
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger or 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Directions
1. Thaw shrimp, if frozen. For marinade, combine pineapple juice concentrate, jalapeno pepper, garlic, ginger, and crushed red pepper. Peel and devein shrimp. Place shrimp in a plastic bag set into a shallow dish. Add marinade; seal bag. Turn shrimp to coat well. Chill for 1 to 2 hours, turning shrimp once.
2. Remove shrimp from bag, reserving marinade. Thread shrimp on five metal skewers.
To Cook by Direct Grill Method: Grill on the grill rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 6 to 8 minutes or until shrimp turn pink, turning skewers once and brushing with marinade. Arrange preheated coals around a drip pan in a covered grill. Test for medium heat above the pan. Place skewers on grill over drip pan. Cover and grill for 8 to 10 minutes or until shrimp turn pink, brushing occasionally with marinade. Makes 5 servings.
*Note: Because chili peppers, such as jalapenos, contain volatile oils that can burn your skin and eyes, avoid direct contact with them as much as possible. When working with chili peppers, wear plastic or rubber gloves. If your bare hands do touch the chili peppers, wash your hands well with soap and water...
