"According to a new Zogby poll, the new Congress has hit another historic low. Only 14% of people approve of Congress. 14%! And that's just the hookers that work for the DC madam."

What you think?

This surprises very few. We were warned that they would say anything to get into office. They tore everything down saying how rotten everything was,the economy, health care, education, pay scale, war, environment, FUEL PRICES, and much more. They said, its time for change, take back America, we can do it smarter and better, a chicken in every pot, a PS3 in every home.

They have effectively delivered zilch, nada, zip, zero.

I am sick and tired of citizens bitching and complaining about all aspects of our political system

THIS IS A DEMOCRACY and in order for it to work all segments of that system must be responsible and accountable for the health of our democracy.

While no doubt that the legislative branch of our democratic system ,the Congress has much to account for ,so so CITIZENS.

It begins with the choosing of our leaders through voting.

By 2006 ,Americans KNEW that Bush had lied about why he decided to wage an illegal war that has so far resulted in the slaughter of over 400,000 innocent human beings.

We knew about the killings and tortures of prisoners by the military and Bush's complicity in that filth.

We knew the Supreme Court had begun to clearly show the mounting violations of the Constitution Bush was again deliberately doing.

Given all this ,THE MAJORITY OF VOTERS ELECTED THIS WAR MONGER FOR A SECOND TERM.

Like spoilt irresponsible two year old brats, this same bloody majority is now WHINING .You deserve what the hell you get and voted for .Grow up and be responsible.

And what on earth is Congress to do??

THe Democrats thought that they had a mandate to end the war but voters are sending signals that they are not to sure now that just leaving Iraq is a good idea.

The Democrats are constantly being accused of being traitors and un-patriotic etc etc. What the hell do you think Congress can do with this un-clear message???

What we need is for the stupid irresponsible public to re-enforce the message they sent to Congress in 2006 and get off their lazy butts as we did in the 60s and DEMONSTRATE PEACEFULLY for the end of this atrocious war .

Either that or shut the hell up and continue your whining.

Why should any politician be held more accoiubtable for his/her role/duty in a democracy then the voters themselves.

Why should a politician jeopardize his career etc because the voters do not seem to know what the hell they want and are constantly sending mixed signals.

The Democrats thought voters wanted an end to the war and have tried like hell to end it and all they get for their efforts are yahoo irresponsible voters that keep lowering their approval rating for congress sending a new message not to end the war.

Grow up all of you majority.

I have limited faith in polls, however this Congress was elected to rein in that chimpanzee in the White House, and this they have manifestly failed to do, meanwhile making one idiotic proposal after another for health care, immigration reform, the budget, the war ... the Democrats are proving to be the Gang the Couldn't Shoot Straight. They get elected with as strong a mandate as a congress has had since 1996, and they BLOW IT.
Sheesh and other comments. The wonder is that they haven't been lynched in their home districts, yet.

Zogby is a Muslim pollster so I think he gave them a few extra points. There is less hookers now in DC as they now work in Hollywood for Pairs Hilton on a new show called.
The Hilton Hookers roller team.
Co staring Fat Albert played by fat Micheal Moore.

If you look at the polls, its the Republicans in Congress that the public most disapproves of.

I'd say the democratic majority hasn't lived up to their hype! As usual.

At least Bush has a 34% approval rating.

I guess the Democrats don't necessarily have it "in the bag" in 2008, huh?

I think Mark Foley should run to restore honor and decency to congress.

Let's hope there isn't another Dem witch hunt targeting our good Christian guys again for their private lives!

We should fight back against their vicious attacks against Senator Vitter - a good Christian man.

Well, I can't imagine why...they've been so productive, naming all of those post-offices! Apparently, the soft bigotry of low expectations has now been bestowed upon the US Congress!
