Shop at 99 cents store and dollar tree for all the decorations. They are really cute and cheap. For food, do potluck style. Your family and friends will be glad to help. Play some games and you can get prizes for the games at the dollar stores too (a lotion, body wash, and a loofah together always make a great gift). Go to a park to have your party (if it's not too hot) or someone who has a large house, so you don't have to pay for a place. If you register at Babies R Us they will give you invitations for free to send out. Good deal! Also, I had a drawing at my baby shower for a nice gift and guest brought a small package of diapers to be entered into the drawing - they didn't have to do it if they didn't want to. The winner got 2 free movies tickets. Everyone liked it and I didn't have to buy any diapers until my daughter was 3 months old. Good luck!
