the mud would be very fine almost like thick whiped cream. If this wouldn't work do you have any other ideas for different kinds of injectors that would work?

NO. Mud is a form of clay normally dissolved in water. Afuel injector has got some micro fine parts and spring which will be spoiled by the mud and water, If you canreveal your ultimate use I could suggest a solution.

A spray nozzle is just a small hole with pressure behind it.
if the particle size of your mud stays far below the size of the orifice then it will work ,however the viscosity will require a much higher pressure for a given flow. Also mud is a suspension of solids and liquid making it harder to obtain predictable results.a garden sprayer might work, this applies an air pressure above the fluid avoiding pumping the fluid directly

Any fuel injector for gas or diesel will clog up right away as the particles in the mud will not fit through the injector passages. you need something like a small fire hose nozzle that doesn't have tiny passages to clog.

Hi. A fuel injector has a duty cycle that requires it to seat. You want a valve like a garden hose which does not have to close to control the flow.

Check with the cement people. I had a person spray a special white mud on my house in Barstow Cal. to reflect the heat.

Plaster/cement sprayer would work.
