Normally, wedding invitations are mailed 8 weeks prior to the date of the wedding. This will give all of the guests plenty of time to make travel arrangements, book airline tickets, and get time off from work if needed.
You will want your guests to RSVP to your wedding invitaitons as soon as possible, so you will have time to make sure that the place cards are ready, that there will be enough seating, and that enough food will be prepared for the amount of guests that will be attending. You should including a RSVP date around 2 to 3 weeks before your wedding date, so you will have time to complete on the final touches to you special day.

Usually send out invitations about 6 weeks to 2 months before the wedding, and request RSVPs be back 2 or 3 weeks before, but check with the caterer to see when they need the final count. Best wishes!

Typically wedding invites go out 6-8 weeks before. Check with your caterer to find out when they need the total number of guests. Mine needed to know 1 week before so I made the RSVP date 2 weeks before in case some were late. Also be prepared to call people that you know want to come but didn't RSVP, especially family.

6-8 weeks before the wedding. Rsvp's should be in by 2 weeks prior to the wedding. You can send out a reservation letter to your proposed guest list so they can reserve the date on their calendars up to 6 months in advance.

We sent them out 1 1/2 months before our wedding and asked for RSVP in time to give numbers to the caterer. Talk with your caterer and see what kind of deadline they require and go with that. Although, give yourself an extra week or two because some people are stragglers in RSVPing!!

Usually 6 weeks before the wedding.....but you may want to make it 8 weeks if lots of folks need to travel. Consider sending a 'save the date' card in February....

send out your invitations two months before the wedding and give them about a month to respond. you need to make sure you have time to give guest totals to your venue. that usually want a week or two in advance.

theknot.com says 6 to 8 weeks... I highly recommend using this site...it has all your wedding questions answered. You can also manage your guest list online and check off the ones that have sent their RSVP as they come back.
