Common estimates on illegals are anywhere from 12-30 million. Its probably somewhere in that range.

Nationally I havent seen solid numbers on prison populations. but in the southwest 25-30% some specific areas its higher.

They keep saying that it's 7 to 12 million but that has got to be a lie! 12 million was the 2005 estimate. I heard various sources say that we have 20 to 30 million illegal aliens here that are breaking our laws. (I think they use the 12 million figure since it sounds better.)

I heard that about 30% of the prisons are filled with illegals but I'm not certain about that figure.

It's hard to get a true number on shadow people. More than there should have ever been at any time in history. As far as their prison population, I believe that California has the highest ratio but Az., Tx., Ok., N.M., may be really close to those numbers by now. I think I read something like 30-35% a very high ratio for so few in comparison.

We have no idea how many illegals are actually in the US, now isn't that kind of frightening. There are over 300000 illegal inmates in our federal prisons alone, that's not counting state and county prisons and jails.

We will never know-that's because they are illegal and don't want to be found. Also, if you commit a crime and are illegal you most likely get deported(depending on the crime).
