I feel that Hyundai should transfer their lower end cars solely to Kia (maybe anything below the Sonata - in turn wiping out the Optima and Amanti) and focus themselves at going for the big ones - such as Lexus (they've already made progress with the Veracruz). Then, Hyundai will build up the image of premium cars, and that will be reflected in their lineup, while Kia provides people with the everyday cars. (Hyundai ought to redesign their logo too - the flying H is too associated with cheap, unreliable cars.) Anyone else agree with me?

I wonder the same thing and agree that Hyundai seems to be the unit aimed higher then Kia. You forgot to mention the Azera sedan by Hyundai, plus next year they will have the Genesis car. These 2 cars along with the Veracruz as you mentioned will definitely be stealing sales from Lexus/Acura/BMW. There's no question Hyundai/Kia group has some of the best cars on the market for the price and features. I don't see any reason to change the H symbol, I don't think enough people recognize it as compared to the name Hyundai. I remember in the late 80's when Toyota/Honda were considered cheap cars and were still a bit of a joke despite their quickly rising sales and quality. If Hyundai keep it up the quality and add some innovation they will continue to increase their sales.
They could certainly bring a 2 pickups to market as someone else mentioned to fully fill out their lineup. A small truck...remember when Americans actually bought them and a mid-size truck would be good and fit in with their current customers needs.

I disagree. Hyundai Motor Company is a division of Hyundai Motor Group which also manages Kia Motors but they are not the same company. Hyundai is proceeding in a very smart way, continually improving their cars, keeping the prices low and very competitive and little by little inching their way to the top. The only thing they might do is add an upscale brand much like Honda/Acura and Toyota.Lexus under which they could sell the Azera and Veracruz but they do not need to do this yet as they keep breaking sales records. If they continue to sell so well I feel they are doing everything correctly.

Well Hyundai and Kia have been around for years and I agree Kia sux. Hyundai has had Pick up trucks in Europe for over 20 years. Actually the idea you have been presented has been talked about for the past year.

Well Ryan, you're thinking. I've been wondering when Hyundai or Kia is going to tackle the pick up market. They make a pick up truck but they don't sell it here. Wassup with that? Hyundai has come a long way but I think that you're giving them a little too much credit too soon. I've got friends selling Hyundai and Kia and they hate telling pick up buyers to shop elsewhere.
