How do I tell the difference between 'playing hard to get' and a rejection.

To see how far you'll go to:

Get their attention

Do things for them

Test the amount of love you have for them (As if it could be measured on some internal love scale)

So you could chase them and they'll feel wanted which temporarily boosts their self-esteem

Also, if they're too easy they know the guys won't appreciate and want them after the guy finally seals the deal.

People like things that challenge them because it keeps them interested, excited, and never bored. Thus, why women play hard to get. Initally, they want the guy to really like them and chase after them. They want to see how far they'll go to impress the girl and see if their feelings are true. The best way to do that is by playing hard to get, because it keeps you comming back for more, excited and more anxious each time.

we don't play hard to get. we want to have the time to see if the guy's worth it. plus that some have the "good" habit of tagging those girls that give up easy, well... as easy. as if they wouldn't be participating in the act too!
but as i said, not all guys do that. and i appreciate and respect the ones that don't think that way.

They've been taught that men like a challenge. That men will loose interest if they seem too eager. They want the man to think they are worth the effort.

dude seriously, it's not that they play hard to get, they are tired of guys hitting on them all of the time. it's not like guys, if a girl comes up to talk to them they get excited and tell their friends about it. girls get mad and gripe at their friends about it. they just get to points to where they are just fed up with dealing with it. that or they are just not interested in you.

They just want to act like you're under them. Then you'll stop chasing them, and they'll come after you.
