Simple. The SAS. Number one, when Colonel Charles Beckwith decided he wanted to create Delta Force in '77 he went to the SAS for advice. That's while Delta is broken up into squadrons, etc. etc.
Further than that, they were fighting a war against the IRA for decades, where as our Delta Force has only had limited practice in real-time all out war. I'm an American and I served in the Army, but as a person who also enjoys history I can tell you that the SAS would easily win (having been training and developing tactics since the '40s).

On an individual level it is up to the soldier, but as far as which group is better, I will say the SAS. They have been doing it longer, they taught Col. Beckworth the founder of Delta how they did things. Basically if it was not for how good the SAS is Delta would never have existed. I am an American and a OEF, OIF VET

I'm not sure what SAS is but I know Delta Force is the best of the best of Army Rangers and Green Berets. You have to know alot of languages and you need above normal intelligience also. Delta Force is like a super secret team in the U.S. Army. Rumour has it, they have a secret base in Fort Bragg, North Carolina

I'd say it's actually between the Delta Force and SEAL Team 6 (the Navy's version of the counter-terrorism special forces). Those guys are like machines! They can do almost anything, and they're so mentally and physically strong it astonds me. I wish I couldn've been one, but alas...I'm a girl :)
And an American.

Obviously, by the replies given, no one has trained with the U.S. Army Rangers. They are the elite of the elite.
Added note: Jeeper, just to let you and others know, I've worked with Army Rangers and briefed Delta Force operatives having the appropriate security clearance. I know where they lived on Fort Bragg and befriended several of them. I served in Airborne forces for half my military career. Such occurrences during my career were common-place.

Well face it, how would anyone here know, one way or the other ?
It's not like anyone here knows the first thing about either the SAS or Delta Force.
They have no idea what kind of training they do, what missions they have done.

look,it doesn't matter how tough you are.what matters is can you endure the training. If you can't keep up you are out ,not questions asked. It also depends on how intelligent you are.If you are told do this or that they watch you to see how you do it then they will show you the correct way to do it.
