You are gaining muscle AND you are still taking in TOO many calories!

You are probably still consuming too many calories; alli is to encourage someone to stay on a low fat diet because it keeps your body from digesting fat and nasty things will happen if you eat a lot of fat on this drug.

You may have lost inches and sizes because you are working out and muscle is more compact, although it weighs more than fat.

Try portion control (smaller servings) and higher fiber foods like whole veggies and fruits if you aren't satisfied with the results you are getting.

Be happy if you're losing inches and sizes. That's the goal right? Weight is just a number.

And just to clarify for the people who think you gain as much in muscle as you lose in fat, this is just entirely untrue. It takes a long time to gain pounds of pure muscle (unless you are a guy). If you've lost 5 pounds of fat, you most likely haven't gained 5 pounds of muscle. It takes months and months to gain that much muscle. Everyone on this forum thinks that if you gain weight, it's automatically muscle. But, in reality, it's so hard to put on that much muscle as a female.

You don't need to take any diet meds to loose weight. If you follow a low-fat diet, eat healthy, and exercise you will loose weight. It might not be at a fast rate, but you will loose. Remember, it took a while to put on weight so give yourself time to loose it. Fast weight loose only ends with fast weight gain later. Loosing it very slow will give you long-term results and you'll be more healthy.

You may not have lost pounds, but you've probably lost inches. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, and your weight won't come off overnite. Stick with the plan, and you will lose weight. Good luck!!!!

Are you exercising? If so thats why. Muscle weighs more than fat, and takes up less room. So while you are losing fat, you are gaining muscle. The scale doesn't move because they offset, muscle takes up less space than fat, so your clothes are getting bigger.
Keep up the good work, and don't be a slave to that scale, you are obviously doing something right.

that's because it is "only" an appetite suppressant and has absolutely no effect on increasing the metabolic rate
