It is only through the mind set of the person watching the television that evil can be transferred to that person. if we are open to ungodly things then ungodly things happen.

I don't think that TV is evil, but some programs are. Also, do you believe in hypnosis. It is a fact that television can put you in a sort of hypnosis trance. How do they do hypnosis?? by a series of blinking and changing lights or scenes every 3-5 seconds. What happens to you after watching television in 5 minutes???? Can your mind be influenced??? Try it some time and see.

Yes, it's a little dead girl with black hair covering her face, called Samara :P Or did you mean that Satan releases his uber-evil waves through the television set and infects people with sin?!? Well, the solution to that is clear: throw it away!

Seriously now, television just shows the so-called "evil" that is already out there in society. It's just a bad excuse... And I guess that so is the Internet... Just as the Church, mass-media is just another way of creating robotic non-thinkers who'd do whatever you want them to.

Evil comes from each person's brain...no amount of TV, movie, whatever, makes a person evil...that is their decision. You cannot dump blame on the media for an individual's actions...that is a cop out. We all know what is right and what is wrong. Too many choose wrong, then cry genuine tears when they are caught...they cry at being caught, not over what they have done. Never be fooled by these people, regardless of their age. A 7 year old knows right from wrong. !!!!

I believe our society watches too much television; however, I do not believe that evil comes from it. We can watch terrible, horrible things and we can choose to turn it off. If you believe that evils comes from television, try another form of entertainment and knowledge gathering...read.

There certainly is a whole lot more anti religious messages than there are pro religious messages. And no it's not the media's fault. It's our fault as a society for letting the media deviate from our Christian based beliefs.

I'll use the Virginia Tech. massacre as an example. The guy was a nut job to begin with but he had to have witnessed a lot of violence to commit such acts of violence.

Scientists did a study on elementary kids. Half of the kids were exposed to T.V. violence and the other half weren't exposed to any. After a long period of time they showed a violent movie to all the kids. The kids who hadn't been exposed's blood pressure rose while no change was detected in those that had been exposed to it.

If he hadn't been exposed to violence, he wouldn't have been capable of killing other people. Experts in school shootings say that it's not possible for the gunmen to shoot so many people in such a short amount of time without playing video games that involve shooting a large amount of people in a short amount of time.

Conclusion: Violent televistion and video games don't make the the nut jobs, they make the nut jobs worse. And we, as a society, are at fault for letting the media get away with it.

Nope - it comes through rays beamed directly into your mind from aliens in a far away galaxy. Never go outside without wearing a tin foil beanie.

Most definitely. The media's misleading stories makes people ignorant, and therefore evilly inclined toward what they read about, when they were only given one side of the story.

Yup, and it's called "home shopping channels." LOL Those things are DANGEROUS!

(On a more serious note, I personally believe evil can use any means to spread itself. But that doesn't mean my years of addiction to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" are sending me to hell, either!)
