If you look at the ages of people from Noah on in the Old testament, my guess is 6,000 to 8,000 years old. But figuring out how much time elapsed from the garden of Eden to the flood makes it hard to know the answer for sure.
Also, the statement in the bible about 1,000 years being one day to God also makes it hard to give an answer, since it makes it hard to know how long it took to create the world in God's time.

The people you call atheist/evolutionst include Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, Charles Darwin, Hough Ross, Edwin Hubble, James Hutton Francis Crick and James Watson, to name a few. Let me include Steven Wienberg, Richard Feynman and your famous Albert Einstein, who often times quoted "God" but is of course not a christian. Have you ever wondered why these people are also called scientists? And how these peole include Nobel Prize winners? When these people talk about recombinant DNA, radioactive dating, quantum mechanics, black hole astrophysics, Hermetian operators, mitochondrial DNA, nuclear energy, superr-gravity, imaginary time-space, do you have a heck about what they are saying about? I'm sure you notice that these people constitute the most intelligent group of people you can ever name. Even your Sir Isaac Newton and Sir Lord Kelvin both held to the veiw that the earth is old, and both, take note, are christians. The list can be extended to include any respected, contemporary scientist you name. So why do you these scientists say that the world is not 6 thousand years only? Are they dumb, or are they just plane evil? Are you smarter than they are? Are they blind to something so common sense any regular red neck illiterate could see as plane fact? Are they plotters against religion? Is Kent Hovind smarter than they are? (I shudder to think at the prospect of this last question. Comparing Einstein with Hovind? Now that's like comparing 4.5 billion years to 6 thousand years.) Ponder upon these questions for a while, and think at how so few things you do know, and how so much there is you need to know and understand, before you bash at the scientific institution with your rhetoric.

Evolutionists are not always atheists, incidentally. The Universe itself is not 69,000,000,000 years old. Where did you hear that? Scientists find by several methods that Earth is 4.5 to 5 billion years old. Bishop James Ussher studied the Bible in the 17th Century and said creation was in 4004 BCE, so it is 6011 years old now by his figures. Other Bible scholars arrived at dates of 3760 to 5850 or so for the BCE date of creation. Take your pick, since you asked the question.

Dude, there are no such things as an atheist or evolutionist answer, it are answers science gives us...Al the other answers come from blinded god-believers...

Our earth is 4.5 billion years old.

I bet you wanted to hear me say that the earth is no more than 10000 years old but that's insane. Realy insane.

The time from Adam to Jesus was 4000 Years
Jesus lived 33 years
From Jesus' death till now is about 2007 years
so 4000 + 33 + 2007 = 6040 years old

As a scientific/logic note, if God can create year old animals, a 33-year old man and 100-year old trees, I think He could create billion year old rocks.

To quantify an answer to your question, one must know, first: 'IN THE BEGINNING _________________"--. DID GOD WEAR A ROLEX OR A TIMEX ??? How did he keep time, BEFORE the fourth day, when he created the sun, moon, and stars ??
IF YOU are transcribing "EARTH" into the context of "MAN", then you will have to come up with CONCRETE PROOF, that the begettings and begottings were INDIVIDUALS- HUMANS,- and not groups of : cultures / civilazations/ dynasties/ or named time spances/ referances. ( i.e. Britten [and others], begat the U.S.A., and this is one (1) 230 year old culture!!)
Now, what was your question and time limitation??
