My BMI is currently in the overweight range... but I exercise daily and the last time my body fat was measured, it was 26%, which is in the healthy range for adult women. My waist is below 35 inches, which is also healthy. 35 inches at over for women is another risk factor for heart disease.
BMI is a screening tool and one of many "risk factors" for disease... it is not a "tell-all" statistic... it has its flaws and needs to be used with judgment.

My BMI is 25.6, which says I am over weight. BMI is CRAP for people who lift weights or have muscular frames. I have 7.5% bodyfat... FARRRR from overweight. A better measure is a hip to waist ratio measurement (use the calculator link down below) and also get a body fat % test (any local gym or your doctors office)

BMI is a faulty system. I think looking in the mirror is more accurate. You should take a body fat determination exam if you need to know specifically.

BMI is a very poor rating system, and doesn't account anything for two people, one who may be quite muscular and one who is all fat, both could have the same BMI.
