Everyone's situation is different. Men can seem very sweet and loving before you marry them, then turn into insane control freaks with violent tendancies afterwards. Sometimes staying is a matter of fear and insecurity, not emotional instability. Have you ever been intimidated by a bully? Women have been fighting for equality for many years, and we're still not there yet. Plus, for some women, it's hard to leave when you know you'll have nothing if you do. When your husband has a bank account and credit cards in his name only, you'd have to get your own behind his back. Oh, but you can't because they will be sending mail to your address where he often gets the mail. How are you supposed to "start over" when utilities need deposits you won't have, and children you'd have trouble feeding and supporting alone. And you make just enough money at your job to not qualify for any assistance except for an invitation to stay at an abuse shelter. No thank you.

women are not made the same as men - that should be obvious. It's not that they are controlled by emotions - - it's that their emotions are all CONNECTED whereas men's emotions are essentially DISCONNECTED -

you can't generalize for all women. My late wife was very similar to a man in her thinking and reasoning. Much more like a man than a woman. But she grew up with a Dad and 2 Brothers, she was around men all the time.
That kind of thing affects how a person does things. Me on the other hand, I was around women most of my life. So I'm a lot like a woman in how I process things. I'm much more feeling than thinking - but I'm thinking too.

Why blame the victim? People tend to place trust in others based on their trust in themselves. If I don't cheat on my partner, for example, I wouldn't expect my partner to cheat on me.

It's a messed up society when we blame the victims more than we blame the perpetrators. I guess it's easier to do that than to confront the people who are doing the hurting. Since we can't talk "sense" into violent or dishonest men who intimidate us, it's far easier to scold the women. It kills two birds with one stone: We can be filled with self-righteous fervor AND avoid confronting the bully.

Secondly, women as emotional creatures is a sexist fallacy. Men like to think they are superior to women in this regard, when all of their decisions are based on emotion as well. In a domestic violence situation, for instance, the man is just as controlled by his base emotion as the woman he punishes.

I think some are.
I think many lack the self esteem to have any sense of worth and end up thinking the only person that loves them are they guys that manipulate them.
Im a woman and in all honesty I dont understand women like this.

It depends on the woman.

Most girls are taught to go with what they feel...we are encouraged from birth to go with feelings. It's up to the female to train herself to look with both her head and her heart in all matters to keep themselves on the right path.

By the same token, it's not just women who get swept away. I have a few male friends who opened and led with their hearts only to have them abused and tossed aside by man-eating women.

It's a choice that a person has to make whether their emotions or their logic is going to lead their lives....and sometimes it is only by learning from their mistakes do they find the balance between head and heart

Most of the women are more emotional than being logical because it's the nature. It's sad that you can see lots of women being abused because of martyrdom to their so called "men", but I am not one of them.
