Don't sweat it! It will pinch when the doctor first sticks the needle in your arm and it will be sore for a couple of days. The more you move your arm while it's sore the quicker the pain will go away. I just had a TB.

A TB test is not given like a regular shot. It is given just underneath the surface of the skin on the underside of your forearm. They will have a very fine needle syringe that they will slide under the skin less than a centimeter under and inject the liquid so if forms a small bubble. This will be no more than a pin prick and lasts all of 2 seconds total. I give tons of them at the nursing home where I work and they are not bad at all. When they get ready just look away at the wall as you chat with the nurse and it will done just that quick.

ya the T.B. shot is acutally a test and is just putting a little bit of the T.B.'s protien under your skin to see if you've been exposed to the Bacillus. I recomend you don't look at it when they do it and let them know that you get a little vaso-vagal when you see needles and they will do everything possible to make sure you don't pass out since that is much more work for them!
