Have you ever considered this. You can always clean up and improve a nerds appearence and personality and if you do and love them, they will always stand by you. On the other hand you can't make stupid smart, or a mean guy nice.

You like guys who are jerks because those jerks are carefree of what other people think. They are fearless, and you are attracted to that something which is opposite to your personality. You can stop any time. Its like when a child sets his or her toys aside. It is not because they unworthy, but they have outgrown them. So go ahead date guys who are jerks this is a way to help you find out who you are in relationship to what comes in your life. Observe yourself to better yourself, not the "jerks" you date. Don't judge them, they are also finding their own truth, just like you are, their path is different from yours. Believe in yourself, if you wish to find a better partner to fit who you are you will find them. It is just a process you are going through. Some enjoy the process so they re-live that experience over and over. Some outgrew them and decided to try another approach. Whatever you do, do it because it serves who you are, if doesn't you always have a total choice. Believe in yourself.

Depends on how old you are. Most women date jerks because they are attracted to them by their bad boy attitude and you think that you are going to be that one exception. Truth of the matter is your never going to be that exception. Most women only realize this after they hit their 30's and realize that their biological clock is running out or if the bad boy dumps her for a younger model.

Set your standards higher. Tell yourself that for you to date a guy he should have such and such qualities. So therefore you can meet or only continue to talk to guys that are nice and not jerks.

You are attracted to the confidence that they portray. Unfortunately, unless that confidence comes from maturity, it almost always comes off as arrogance.

dont just go for the first cute guy. get to know him for a short period of time. the good guys always are there you just have to find them.
