My favorite sweet bread is like a huge cinnamon roll made all in one piece. Go to www.cooks.com and look up recipes for cinnamon rolls. Instead of slicing it into little rolls once you've rolled up the buttered and cinnamoned dough, take that big roll and twist it into a figure 8. Lay that on a cookie sheet covered in foil (or in baking parchment if you have that.) Make snips in the dough to vent. If you make them about an inch apart all the way along it, you can fold on snip to the right and the next to the left for a more decorative "loaf." Follow the rest of the rising and baking instructions as the recipe gives them. Enjoy!

If it's a huge batch, make two of these big figure 8 "loaves."

Pumpkin Coconut Bread

2 eggs, beaten
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package (3 1/2oz) instant coconut cream pudding mix
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup pumpkin, canned or fresh cooked and mashed
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
PREPARATION:
Combine eggs, sugar, and oil in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer hand-held until well blended.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, pudding mix, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon; add to sugar mixture alternately with the mashed pumpkin, beginning and ending with flour mixture.

Mix well after each addition. Stir in pecans or walnuts.
Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove loaf to wire rack to cool completely.

Are you speaking of the meat or a baked "sweet bread".

Sweetbreads (the meat) can be breaded and fried in oil if you separate it into small pieces.

Sweet bread is basically muffins baked in a loaf pan instead of muffin cups. They usually have fruit in them, such as bananas, cranberries, blueberries, lemon, pumpkin, etc.

You can find lots of recipes at allrecipes.com.

Sweet bread or sweetbreads? They are quite different, but both good.
