that would be a lonely existance... but my friend whom I like more than that has said he realized that he wants to stay single forever... he has gotten used to being single for so long. How can someone live that way without someone to love? It doesn't make any sense.

some people cant stay in love for long. every year or so they change who the think they are in love with. These are the kind of people who can stay single the rest of their life.

Actually it's not that hard. I am single and have been for a few years now. Bad relationships are my excuse, now I am not saying that I intend to be single forever but if it works out that way then that's cool too. women, as far as my luck is concerned, (not saying all of you are like this) just aren't worth it. And just because you're not in a physical relationship with someone doesn't mean that you're lonely, I have my friends and family, And I figure that's all I really need. But then that's just me and my opinion. Not sure what made your friend decide this, ask him he (I am assuming you are talking about a male friend) may tell you how and why he came up with this, atleast more than just being used to being single.

Who says you can't have love and be single? You can love other people and be loved without marrying them. Perhaps he is happy in his own space and that's fine. Who are you to judge him and assume that how you'd feel single is how he feels? Perhaps he doesn't base his self worth on whether or not he has someone or not like you obviously do.

Many people find it impossible to have relationships. Some people just want there work to be there love. (Money, or maybe they just love what they do) And others find love from there families more reliable than other relationships. A family's love is always there, while the other can disapper in a second.

Who said he doesn't have anybody to love? I choose to be single and I have lots of people to love--my parents, sister, nephews, son, cat, etc. Makes lots of sense to me.
