and all the religious followers do obey every word of their faith. For thousands of years there have been stories of God interacting with people telling them to build a boat with two of every animal or march a thousand or so to the land of milk and honey, the one about the virgin, the carpenter. Thousands of years of stories about God. Then he goes quiet. Three small kiddies from religious fanatical familes get a few visits from Mary then it's back to nothing. Years pass and there are still no chat or visits from God. Finally, when a man that announces in public that he is the second coming e.g David Ike or David Koresh you all turn against them and rebuff their claims. Crackers as they may of been. Why dismiss them straight away with no thought about it. Surely, your God, would not want you to question him and accept what you have been told. Like everybody else in the bible. What do you need in the 21st centuary as proof? apart from the bellowing voice of God telling you to.

For a start I don't hate God. I just don't dig all the religion that is around God. I know there is something greater out there but it's not spiritual. You can't have everybody singing from the same hymn sheet. As for saying that it's faith and not somebody doing tricks such as raising the dead or walking on water. Well, that's what jesus had to do to get the christians convinced in him.
I'm asking a fair question about what proof do you need. I don't give a **** about believing or we will know when it happens as that is Bullshit and you know it.
For the ones who can't get the question......... Read it again.

From the majority of answers I can see that god talks to them each and every day. Then why keep this to yourselves? Go public. If I was being spoken to every day and I thought 100% that it was him. I would tell everyone. I wouldn't be sitting on here wasting my life answering questions that have been stolen from the internet. Do you honestly, think that your God would want you sitting on the computer and not being out there sharing your conversations. Or are you closet followers. You're scared of the backlash that you would receive from the public including christians.
Faith & belief and two different things and you can't accept that people can have their own views. From what I see on here. The only way is the christian way and that's gone on through history. Most of the venom sprouted on here for most religious questions arises from the christians and believers. You can't stand it when people ask a question that you can't answer.

I was thinking about this the other day- like what if some person claimed they were Jesus? Would I believe them or think they were crazy and wanted media and attention? I'm not sure what I'll do if that day comes. If that ever happens in my life time, I'm sure I would have to get really in tune with God and my faith to figure the fakes from the real Jesus.

I think quite the opposite ...I think God does want you to question it or him or anyone who says he's the messiah ...I think you're on the right track by questioning the things you hear,,,we all should...Point is though we should all be smart enough to hear and know the truth when we are confronted with it ...Most people I'm afraid just dismiss truth because it isn't convenient for them at the time and seem to be justifying their actions .....both Christians and non-Christians are guilty of it ..
Christ talked about knowing noah...having been there ...I always thought it a little unbelieveable until I realized jesus wasn't just making a point and using some story to do so..he spoke literaly about noah and moses and adam and such...sorta made me rethink the whole thing again, about whether they were just stories to make a point but not really people or events..
either way the end of the world isn't happening so don't look for it...big changes of cataclysmic perportions but not world ending...Most people believe in an after-life even if they don't admit it or discuss the thought ..
I agree with the thought that his sheep hear his voice ....It just takes some diligent and seeking on your part to make that happen....he will be found when you seek him with your whole heart ...half hearted attempts never worked in the past for me ...when I got serious he was there ..so I assume he was always there anyway...I just wasn't really trying ...dig in man the voice of god is a worthwhile quest ,seeking the face of god is maybe the only good thing we can ever accomplish on this planet..still ..just my 2 cents peace

This is an age old question that we may or may never know even after death we may never know. According to science, and Athiests, He does not exist. According to religious types and people with faith, He does exist. According to Agnostics, He may or may not exist. But now back to the beginning, if He does exist, maybe one day He will show himself or let Himself known to the people, or in the Afterlife, as the Doctrine states, if you are good then you will be allowed in Heaven when God lives. Although it's also possible that there may not be an Afterlife but He still does exist for us to never know at all. Then there is also the belief that He does not at all exist nor does Heaven exist, this is the Athiest belief of what God is. For myself personally, I don't think I believe in Heaven, as much as I would absolutely like to, there is just nothing in my mind that will let me believe that Heaven exists and there are Angels with white robes and peace for all of the rest of your post life on Earth time. Although, I do believe there is a God, not the God that is in pictures with the white robe, long beard, halo, and everything else, but some form of higher entity that we don't know about and may never know about, but I believe there has to be something out there that is more powerful than anything else, some entity that basically in all other terms is...God.

I'm unsure what point you are trying to make. All the ranting is confusing. First you seem to be an authority on what God hasn't done which is totally wrong. Then after the attack on God you say David Koresh should have been taken more seriously as the return of Christ.
Well God manifest himself daily in this world you just looking in the wrong places cowboy..
Also as a fellow that raised his kids in the Waco area David Koresh was taken very seriously. The locals were on to him long before the Feebs showed up.
No one bothered them because we Texans are the type that will fight for religious freedom. Don't break the law no one cares.
What happened there was deplorable but it wasn't God it was our under-trained over powered public servants that caused all that. Wonder how many atheist were there that day?
I can tell you this for sure friend. There was nothing Christlike in David Koresh.
God bellows in my soul and he says I love you. I will empower you. I will see to your needs. Thank you Lord.
God Bless!

If God really exists where has he been while Christians have been praying to Him in Churches all over the UK for Madeline to be returned and her parents even went to see the Pope who also prayed for Madelin to be returned? Was she??? Or where was he when those lovely two little girls in Soham who prayed to him in Church a lot before their horrible murder must have prayed for help to stop them being abused and murdered by Huntley? And where was he on 9/11 when such wickedness was committed by Satanists in New York or similarly evil which was was committted by Satanists in London on 7/7? Was he on vacation then too? My friend I used to believe in God but these various terrible incidents have convinced me I was wrong! There is NO GOD, except hang on a Mo, could all this praying for rain at Churches last year after the hosepipe ban and what is happening in the UK this month.....???

God has not being quite at all, there are more than 830 000 cases of proved Miracles in places as Lourdes, Fatima, Betania or Guadalupe... People cured from AIDS, paralysis, cancer and many others.
Jesus himself had made a great PROVED miracle supported by Medicine.
I think that you should quit Koran and interact more with God.

you're over simplifying things.
another thing. there are signs we can look out for with regards to the second coming such as wars, earthquakes everywhere, "fearful sights and great signs from heaven." (Luke 21:11 & Mat 24:7) and such.
because there are no signs like that now, then the Messiah is still not here. read the bible, and you will know what to look out for

Spiritually speaking those who listen to God know his voice. We receive the Holy Spirit and God does guilde those who love and seek his truth.
Those who seek the truth receive a gift of faith and through faith comes revelation and a personal relationship with God.

God knows his OWN kids. We will KNOW who our Savior is. He comes and takes HIS kids. That is the way it works.
Everyone will know when God comes. It won`t be some dude in the countryside of Texas with a few followers .. EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS JESUS AS LORD....
God bless from Texas <><
