Ok the the alignment on the bottom 1/2 of my teeth is a bit off. I definitly want it fixed but i'm in 20's so i'd be kinda embarrased to wear reg braces. If you've tried invisiline how did it work for u? How long do you have to wear it? & about how much can I expect to pay( have ins but don't think it'll cover this).

hey there, i have regular braces but one hygenist i had at the dentist's once had invisalign and she told me alot about them
the main thing is how often you have to go back to the orthos with invisalign, she told me she has to go evry 2-3weeks so if you can get time of work/uni/commitments..it can be difficult to go that regularly, also im not sure if as many (or any) dental/medical insurance plans cover for invisalign....but overall i wish my braces were invisiable! also with invisalign you remove them when you eat so you HAVE to make sure you wear them..cause its easy to just "forget" you knwo what i mean?
you defiently should see an ortho first because thyre the professional, but if the probalem is only on your bottom row and doesnt include the top, you may only need braces on your bottom row which would be MUCH less visible, inwehich case getting regular braces wouldnt be so bad...typically braces are about $4000..maybe a bit more..a bit less
oh yeah, only more thing: for traditional braces there are 2 types the classic metal ones (ahhh!) but there is also a new lgihter weight type that have clear brackets so everything looks smaller and is as metal-ly

Go ceramic. I'm 41 and I have them on top. It's really no big deal; they're not terribly noticeable even though the wire is metal.

They are slightly larger than normal braces but they don't make your lips pooch out and the lisp is gone in a day, and you'll be able to whistle again!

I didn't even consider Invis... for one, I've seen people with them and all I see is spit bubbles underneath! lol And you'd have to take them out every time you eat - if you're a snacker it'll be out more than it's in.

Its hard to keep up with the invisalign things somtime. But there good if you dont want braces. Or you can get the ceramic braces on top and bottom. There braces but you cant see them when you smile or talk.

I just got invisalign last week and so far they are great. They were very sore, but so are braces. I love it because no one knows that I am wearing them. Everyone says"let me see!" but they can't even see them. I have been told that they are the same price as regular braces for the most part. They are definatly worth it because no one can see them.

It all depends on the situation with your teeth. with invisalign you dont have to visit your ortho as much and you never have to go in and get them tightened. You just get a new set. With conventional braces, you cant eat as many food as when you have invisalign but the conventional ones are cheaper. if you dont have any problems with the conventional braces, head that way but you might have to keep them on longer than invisalign.

I've had my invisaligns for three weeks now, and I love them. I was told with braces I would have them in for 2 years, but with the invisaligns I only have them for about 5 months. As far as the previous comment about spit bubbles, yes, there are spit bubbles in the invisaligns......but someone would practically be about to kiss you to see it...I noticed it, of course, and my boyfriend did....but as he said, there is no reason for anyone but him to be that close to my mouth!! I definately say go Invisalign!

PS...I've never forgotten to put mine back in...and I snack as much as the next guy, and it isn't a problem!

invisilign works for some cases, not others.

honestly you really don't need to feel embarrased, it's mostly how YOU feel, not anything or anyone else.

people don't notice near as much as you think
and honestly men seem to like women with braces, I dont' know why - I think it's because it makes them look more vulnerable or maybe it's because it makes their mouth/lips more pronounced, no idea. people who smile look better than people who don't. so if you wear braces you'll look better if you smile than ify ou try to smush your face trying to hide them. It's more how you feel about you, and it makes you feel awful about yourself so you think everyone else thinks that way and THEY DON'T CARE - they are too busy thinking about THEMSELVES!!

If you are attractive now - you'll still be attractive, It won't matter.

if you have the extra money get invisaline, braces are a pain, they always break theres always poking wires, and you go every month to get them tightened and you cant eat for a freaking week, i hate mine =( oh and my braces cost about 4,000
