If you have never been in that situation before of course you won't know what to do.Do not blame yourself.I have been in a similar situation myself and regretted it, but never forget that he is in the wrong for what he did!
Nobody knows how they will react when something like that happens, you are only human. I am sure that he would react badly if you did that to him.
My advise to you would be stop feeling bad and start feeling like you can do better.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

So sorry to hear you lost your self control when you saw your boyfriend in a room with another girl, yet I can understand. I have two ways to answer your question about "if a guy would beat you up if you fought with him". One, anyone being attacked would strike back for self protection. Two, if he really loved you he would have felt your pain and want to sooth you, not hit you. Violence for any reason I am sure you have been told is no excuse. We must all refrain from projecting any type of violence on another human being. Also, no man is worth you losing your self respect over. A man that really loves you would never put you in that type of situation to begin with. Please next time do what is right for you.

When you step into a man's shoes and act like a man by taking a punch, then you deserve to get treated like a man and punched back. Being a woman does not ensure that you can do whatever you want while he stands there and takes it. He's got rights too.
Before you fight, you better know you can win.

Hmm you were very upset at the time and lashed out..but I cant condone violence of any kind. If as a lady you were beaten up by the man his name would be mud and the stigma attatched would follow him forever...but hopefully I would be a big enough man (if my g/f was lacing into me) to walk away.
Personally I think you are better off out of it - he cheated on you!

I am not a guy, but if your boyfriend beat you up, or hit you... then leave him.. it's not right if you hit him, but it's horrible if he hit you back. and he shouldn't have been with the other girl, if it was, like it sounded and not casual..
My ex use to hit me, and beat me up.. I still make excuses about it. but it is wrong. No matter what. If he really loved you, he wouldn't hurt you

You lucky you just caught them in a room! I caught my ex in bed with a girl. I dragged her out of bed and kicked her down the stairs. She was totally naked and shouted that she wanted her clothes so I opened the bedroom window and threw them into the front street. I then battered my ex. big satisfaction!!!

It's not right for anyone to hit their partner and I would never hit my guy although I did lose my temper and push my ex. He said that if I did it again he'd hit me back and I realised that having physically hurt him I couldn't blame him if he had hit me back.
