I'll probably see it when it comes out on DVD. I'm a follower of Christ and a Simpson's fan from the beginning. (I haven't seen it in a few years, though, because I have young kids.)
I've always enjoyed the way The Simpson's mocks everyone, people like me included. Even when it stings, I laugh because they're just telling me what I look like to people like them. The Simpson's has actually been an instrumental part of helping me see where the Kingdom of God (which is the gospel -- or good news -- that Christ announced) differs from the religion of Christianity (which is often at odds with the gospel).
I hope there's a healthy dose of mocking religious folks.

I'll see it because I expect it to be funny. Mocking religious folks is a bonus, not reason enough to see a movie. Heck, Evan Almighty mocks religious folks (though I suspect many won't get that from it), but it wasn't as funny as its predecessor because it tried to push for belief too hard, and ended up being funny in ways it didn't intend.

We know what the Simpsons are about... I will be going with my husband to celebrate our 10th year Anniversary.
And we will let the "JABS" be funny, just like we do here.
Its okay to laugh. I've learned not to take myself so serious.

The Simpsons mock everyone. Religious people aren't special.

So what.... I am a Christian, but I can still laugh at Simpsons humor.
Christians are the hardest to offend... do it to gays or athiests or women or blacks and it is a crisis... but I could care less if they take a jab at us Christians.
